.... or are the 'two genial hosts' just seeing more & more clouds in our silver linings?

Would hate to see Coloccini leave, he's been great for us and still seems fit enough to go on for a while yet. I hope he'll finish his playing day's with us.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit, selling one of our best players and newly appointed captain.

It has Mike Ashley written all over it. He got Williamson on a 5 year deal for a reason you know. Younger and cheaper. He will view it in the way that Williamson can do Coloccini's job.

I wouldnt worry about it. Colo seems to love it here. And being made captain seems to have made him try even harder for us. Look at his performances against Arse and Sun'lun.

No, I do think Colo may very well see out his career with us. And I wouldnt complain about that .

No way will Colo be given a new contract, and he will want to play on past the age of 32!

I get my hopes up. And you shoot me down straight away. I didnt give the 'Ashley Policy' a thought. Still dont think he'd leave now though. Although, I was wrong about Carroll, Nolan and Enrique.

THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL!!!

They're just trying to stir up the ****. Shame, I'd expected better from them.

I reckon colo is the best centre half I've ever seen at newcastle. Anyone disagree?

Valencia have been sniffing around for ages. They now have the means due to Mata being sold. They can offer Champions League football. Coloccini is 30 so his value will only go down from now onwards in Ashley and Llambias eyes. He doesn't have any ties with us seeing as he is Argentinian. He played in Spain for years so knows it through and through.

I'd hate him to leave because we would be f*cked without him. However, all it will take is for Valencia to make a decent offer and he will definitely be gone. No doubt about it.

I just hope Valencia buy somebody else at centre back instead.........

No - they're just being realistic. If we don't know how Ashley operates by now, we never will. If someone throws a load of money at him for Tiote, don't be surprised if he goes as well - just before the transfer window closes of course so he can't be replaced.

    Agreed.

Only thing is Colloccini seems to love it here and more importantly he is rumoured to be on HUGE wages that Valencia might be unable to match.

But yeah, selling him would be a disaster. He's been MOTM in both our games this season.
