Watched City v Newcastle last night, what a rubbish game. City struggled despite dominating and Newcastle just parked the bus until the last 10 minutes when they rattled City a bit. I think a lot of teams give up against City before the game starts.

They will have Sanchez next year. That will keep Sterling on his toes!

As for going unbeaten, like Pep says, they will lose sometime.

They will however blow the points and goals records away.

No one wants to get hammered and seem happy to accept damage limitations before the games even started.

Would have expected a better game plan from Rafa to be honest, but losing 1-0 to this team setting records won't get the fans on your back like it would trying to go at the them and getting hammered 6-0

    the current records are

most wins in one season Chelsea on 30
most home wins in one season 18 (joint record, city, utd, cheslea)
most away wins in one season 15 (cheslea)
most consecutive wins - 18 they already have broken this
most consecutive home wins city. 20
most constecutive away wins 11 (chelsea)

    most goals 103 (cheslea)
    best gd 71 (chelsea)
most goals at home 68 (cheslea)
    most goals away 48 (lfc)
    Least conceded 15 (chelsea)

    highest points 95 (cheslea)
biggest margin 18 points by utd.

You can actually see half the records were set by abramovichs billions either under mourinho or under anchelotti

City are just spending even more to do it.

As of now: City are on:

58 points (with 54 to play for) they need 37 more points to tie. = 12 more wins.
61 goals scored (need 43 more in 18 games = 2.4 goals per game. not sure they will do it)
12 conceded (not breaking that then)
consecutive away wins they are on 10 so need one more away win to tie record
most wins in season. on 19 wins, need 11 out of 18 to tie with cheslea.

This all shows how utterly dominant cheslea were under achelotti that season.

City have not trashed anyone 9-0 yet!!! (swansea could be that club)

I can't see City not going on a big silverware run myself they are set up for years to come now...

Maureen crying about spending money is a joke though the money Utd spend they should be much closer and playing better?

Unless another club gets driven by oil I can't see past City to be favourite for anything they compete in tbh

the issue is pepe won't last and it'll blow up eventually

mr mourinhos whines are fine but look at what he did

    kept de gea. check
CBS: Bailly (good but injured a lot) lindeloff (disaster buy it seems so far) Jone and smalling kept
Full backs. kept all the dross.
CMs. matic, pogba, mkhitaryan.. kept fellinai and played long ball and has basically ruined mkhitaryan
    wings kept all the dross
    Strikers: lucky and zlatan

He's just bought spine players, kept an awful lot of muck like young and the like and has mugged off the mata's and martials and mkhitaryans.

The hairy lamppost is having a laugh.

"FELLAINI: I AM VILIFIED IN ENGLAND

Marouane Fellaini feels he has been unfairly treated during his time in English football and has become something of a marked man.

Despite his reputation as a physically-imposing midfielder, Fellaini has been sent off just three times during his time in England, although he was forced to serve a three-match ban for elbowing Robert Huth in 2016 after the Leicester defender pulled his hair.

His last red card came in the Manchester derby in April after referee Martin Atkinson penalised the Belgian midfielder for a headbutt on Sergio Aguero

In a wide-ranging interview with Belgian magazine Humo, Fellaini said he often feels like it is one rule for him and a different rule for other players.

"They have labelled me an aggressive player, a murderer," the Manchester United midfielder said. "Look, I'm fanatical. The team that wants it the hardest wins but there have been times when I came out as the villain. What should I do if they pull me by the hair? It sounds like a joke, but it really hurts.

"Last season I was suspended after the derby against City for a headbutt against Aguero. He stepped towards me and then dropped dead. But, no, I get the red.

"Players often try to provoke me but do you know how many yellow cards I collected last season? Four, in 45 matches. I've never destroyed someone's career"

    He's a dirty elbowing(butting)twat and deserves the cards he's had.:emoticon-0100-smile

The fact he's only had 3 red cards is an utter disgrace. He's the worst offender of using elbows to gain an unfair advantage, something that is not allowed in the rules.
I also believe he's got worse since moving to ManU, which I feel shows he's being given favourable treatment by officials when he should be picking up a straight red or 2nd Yellow because he plays for ManU and Mourinho.

Sky Sports and BBC Sports both sugar coating Fergie's win ratio in English football when comparing it to Wenger's, they seem to have forgotten his first 6 years at Old Trafford.

    http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-fergusons-record-of-810-premier-league-games

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42410931

Fergie still comes out on top marginally but it's actually a lot closer than the airbrushed versions.

    Fergie, 59.67 http://www.managerstats.co.uk/managers/alex-ferguson/
    Wenger, 57.80 http://www.managerstats.co.uk/managers/arsene-wenger/

Like him or not the dinosaur Wenger has somehow managed to hold onto his job at Arsenal despite not winning the title in years and despite of a few years of the Arsenal support baying for his blood.

Fair play to the myopic visioned old moaning ****er, congratulations on your milestone in English football.<applause>

You know i really don't mind paying southampton to make them happy... but seeing them then waste it on sturrdige and walcott is hard to take.

Southampton need a relegation to get over themselves and accept their privileged position as feeder to Europe's elite
