Looks like I'm heading to this now they're selling on the gate. Not too bothered who starts at this early stage, but the one person I would like to see get 90 minutes is Nunez. I'll predict a 2-0 to Leeds since we're back in the swing of things and I imagine it will be a strong lineup.
I really hope Clayton doesn't play in this one,we can't afford for him to pick up an injury. We need him for the more important league games. Also rest Paddy & play Bromby instead.
Agreed, don't play Clayton. I would like to see Taylor and Thompson given extended run outs. Possibly put Rachubka in goal just to give him some game time.
I sincerely hope the strongest team isn't used, although I'm fully expecting to see Keogh McCormack and Nunez playing. I'd hope Sam gets played on the right wing also, we don't want Snodgrass getting knackered like last season, especially since he's picking up his unstoppable form again.
correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought Keogh wasn't eligible for this competition? If i'm chatting s**t just tell me to p*ss off Marko!
I'd like us to play Paddy for the first half & whoever is fit taking over at half time, preferably either Bruce or Bromby. I'd also like to see Sam & Nunez start with Max & Snoddy taking a break. Have we got anyone else other than Keogh & McCormack who is fit & could play up front at the moment? If so, I'd like to see that person with Keogh & then McCormack come on at half time for Keogh. If he's fit, I'd also like to see Clayton start & Brown come on at half time. 4-1 Leeds if we play 442 & start off & put their back 4 & midfield under pressure. In Grayson we trust. MOT
Clayton better be left out. An injury to him in carling cup would make me want to kill grayson. I wann see Nunez & Sam start - also bruce at back. Would like white to be rested as again it could be a pointless injury if he takes a knock
... Or we somehow manage to win the cup and get promoted at the same time meaning we're playing European football in our first season back in the PL.
Keep mostly the same team, to try and work up more momentum and confidence. Give Sam and Nunez a run out, with possibly someone like Parker instead of Aidy White and Rackubka some game time.
Hardly a risk. You can get injured in training. Donny have a small squad, and will probably be in a relegation battle this season so they won't be too bothered about this game really. Clayton's like 22, will be full of confidence and on a high after the West Ham game so giving him a run he'll only get better.
