Kane has a losers medal from the 14/15 League Cup. He's scored 12 in 23 international games. He's also scored two more Premier League hat-tricks than West Ham.
You missed out the words “for the time being!” Where, in that quote, does Bale state that he wants to spend his career at Spurs?
You couldn't blame any player for wanting to go and win things at the highest level with Real, Barca etc. He's a player with the ability to do it. He needs to prove he can do it season after season, and so far he's on that track. All rivalry aside, he's not going to get that opportunity at Spurs.
Never mentioned the whole career thing, I simply said players tell fans they are going to stay because it's what they want to hear. You asked for quotes with the links to players who said that, so I gave you two examples from (ex) Spurs players
"For the time being!" Where, in that quote, does Modric say that he intends to spend his career at Spurs? Please do, because you are making a complete tit of yourself!
Take his cock out of your mouth you hopeless sycophant. Where in those articles does either Modric or Bale say 'for the time being' as you have quoted them ?
Come off it! Kane has said - twice - that he wants to spend his career at Spurs. What I have made absolutely clear, to anyone but a complete muppet, is that that is what sets his comments aside from any other footballer who has expressed his love for a club. Of course players will say that they are "going no where" in response to idle speculation, but few say that they intend to spend their careers at their clubs and then **** off like a traitorous muppet. Do you put Kane in that class? I don't. To me, he's too honest. I think he means what he says. I know that goes against the wum agenda being espoused on this board by the 'Pede, but it doesn't alter the facts.
He also said that he would never rule out a move abroad. I presume you give as much credence to those words as you do him saying he'll spend his whole career at Spurs ?
I was adding in those words to give greater clarity to what those two players were actually saying. Find anything said by any Spurs player, other than Kane, where it is stated, with absolutely no ambiguity, that he intends to spend his career at Spurs.
So you were adding in words that they didn't say, because I'd shown your argument to be null and void
Didn’t Hoddle play the best part of his career at Chelsea and Monaco. You also missed Sol off your list as he was a diehard loyal Spurs player - until he upped sticks and went to a bigger club to win trophies and more money
I wouldn't be surprised if Kanes head gets turned by the Klopp Effect... Don't see where he'd fit into our team though. Too slow and not enough tekkers.
He said that in the same way that anyone would not rule out there being life on Mars. Who knows what might happen? Kane is not stupid. He could lose form and be sold, in ten years' time. What he said is that he wants to stay at Spurs and become a legend. You only do that if you retain your form throughout your career, and never get sold against your wishes. That is what he wants. No other Spurs player has ever made that claim, in modern times.
