Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has reportedly informed his close mates that he is eager to pursue a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season. “Harry Kane has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Tottenham and moving abroad in the future, though insists he is happy playing for the north London club at the moment”.
You just don’t understand how it works at Spurs, do you. Pay rises are earned and new contracts awarded regardless of how long there is to run on a player’s current one
Well yes I do but clearly you do not! He has just been awarded a new five year contract taking him from around £80k to circa £100k. Do you honestly see Danny boy bending over and taking another 50-75k a week more when he has him tied down for 5 years already on £100k? Reasons being that the new stadia has to be paid for plus you have players on contracts that have riders that allow them to be paid the same as the top earner. Do you see spurs paying Sissoko £175k a week?
It’s more like 130-140. And he’s about to be offered another new contract, according to some sources.
It’s in the fail...might be spec. But as Paul says, that’s common practice at Spurs for those that deliver.. So it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they give him a bigger and better contract.
