The gulf in class between the top 6 and the rest is making this league very boring. It's no surprise as all the small clubs are forced to sell their best players. Unless someone changes the rules and a 4 year contract is enforced it will just get worse.
Not just that but the money's got so much now (therefore increasing fear of the drop) that very few teams outside the big clubs play good football now instead opting for the 'safety first' approach.
It's boring for fans of the non top 6, but as they are far less in number than those who support the top 6 then it doesn't really matter to the TV companies as viewing figures will remain high.
If we can embrace the levels of the desperate 14, and take a cup seriously from time to time, this could be quite fun. But I'm ready for this season to end already, if you don't mind.
Yes I’m not sure what Walker was trying to do there, it was almost like he was diving 10 yards from the nearest attacker!
And more importantly, Newcastle lose again. Just Palace left to complete a thoroughly awful/pathetic gameweek for the entire bottom half.
15 points clear with 18 games left. No way are they going to lose 5 of those 18 games, so even if Man Utd or Chelsea won all theirs, they have pretty much sown the league up already. Pep has turned them into a better version of Barcelona under him, they play a form of tiki-taka but it’s much more dynamic and forward-looking.
Forget all the inflated egos, wages and transfer fees, if this happens then football really has gone mental: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...ouane-fellaini-wanted-psg-midfielder-11757655
