Not only is he disrespecting Southampton but i'm sure Bertrand would rather not have him posting it in public. He's just being a twat all round.

 

It's easy to understand the Board's change of heart regarding selling to Liverpool. Firstly, the sheer size of the fee cannot be ignored and the team's priorities have changed after the disappointing season so far. We will need to spend big on a GK, AM and Striker IMO and probably a new Manager will not be cheap too.
If VVD had played anywhere near the standard he showed last season then that decision would've been a lot more difficult, but it is clear that selling for a big fee is the only satisfactory option.

 

A late Christmas present for you lot, You get a world-record fee for a player that wanted to leave.

 

Which is fine, but Fonte should absolutely not be doing that.

 

Bertrands wanted out since about midway through last season as far as I'm aware. It's just there's no need for that to be said on social media by Fonte.

 

I agree, Fonte has been weird since he changed his agent to Mendes.

 

Good luck Virgil and Liverpool. I hope it works out well for all three parties - VVD, LFC and of course SFC!!! I see he has incurred the wrath of many which I suppose is justified if you have bought a season ticket/match day ticket and you feel he has not justified his massive wage by either not playing or not putting in a shift,. As I am here in Mallorca, my emotions regarding VVD and LFC are broadly neutral. I alos throw out the question - what would you have done if you were VVD?

 

Hasn't it been reported that Bertrand has wanted out for awhile? Not really new news, he is good enough to be playing for a top 6 team so will naturally want to leave
