I'm not sure I'm buying that......That could be said for every single manager in the country.....Lets be honest Wiz, you can't stand the guy, for whatever reason....I don't think the day can come quick enough for you for him to fail....I'm not really sure why you hate him as our manager....Even you would have to say what a fantastic job he's doing.......Oh and to finish, if you had your way, who would you like to see replace him? I'm interested!!!
Onefor I have given every answer in the book previously and today, I don't hate the guy and I don't have to keep explaining myself, I have repeatedly said I support Bristol City FC only (and my wife of course). If he does well for them fabulous, the longer he stays the better, it means nothing at all with regard to my opinion of him. I repeat for the last time I hate people like Basher al-Assad for what he does and has done to his nation, Daesh for the murder, torture and terror they cause and contemptable people they are, the fat idiot Kim Jong-un for the total thick prat he is and what he represents. I don't hate LJ. Unemployed managers - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik there are hundreds of them Johnson is not unique.
I accept that you can't think of any one better than we can afford that you feel would do a better job!!
[QUOTE="wizered, post: 11266985, member: 1000754" I must admit I wonder what will happen if the guy has a repeat of last years events, how many of his soul buddies will stick by him it will be interesting to see, what would happen if history was to repeat itself as it has twice before and a bigger club comes a knocking, he has told 2 other clubs to get stuffed and shown them no loyalty why would we be any different, I don't blame him for wanting to improve his situation but he ain't no saint, he is a realist.I wonder what fan reaction would be.? .[/QUOTE] I think it would depend on which club came in for him. Because SL showed a huge amount of loyalty to LJ last year, I would expect that to be reciprocated. So if say a club like Swansea came in, I would want him/expect him to stay. However if it were someone like Everton or Newcastle, then I don't think we would want to stand in his way?
This wasn't intended to turn in to a witch hunt of Wiz because he disagrees with other peoples opinion. I was merely trying to gently prise a change of mind possibly. He doesn't owe any explanations or apologies to anyone.
Don't worry banksy, I've tried to give balanced and honest points of view, some people can't understand why everyone does not love their heroes, I was always a John Lennon man could not for the life of me understand why people loved Paul McCartney, I like Dylan as a folk singer I hated his Manchester Free Trade Hall 'Judas' show, Cat Stevens was great before he converted musically. I only worry about serious things as you can tell.
I must admit you are correct, I am missing my visits to the gate but it has enabled me to spend more time in Cornwall, so swings and round-a -bouts in my case.
I know you think I'm "The LJ lover" but I was surprised as you when he was first appointed, would not have been my first choice. I didn't like the way he was treated as a player by some at our club because of who he was, which (I'm not saying you) I feel has continued for whatever reason is beyond me.. I also understand the reaction last season with the history making defeats....he was lucky to have such an understanding owner to back him...but some could see the passion he has for our club and the direction he was aiming to take us.....many of the results IMO last season wasn't entirely his bad judgement and is proving to be the case this season. Not sure what Lennon & McCartney has to do with anything though!! Both needed each other at the time and made one of the best bands of all time..... Elvis was my hero along with Led Zepplin & the Stones......How's that for a mixed taste!!
They certainly are, looking back on some of the old post from pages 30 onwards, who would have believed we would be where we are now, scathing comments about LJ, at least Wiz said he would not go any more while LJ is still in charge, I bet RR was glad he changed his mind, best football seen at the gate since AD, and long may it continue.
And to add new flavour to our debates we will soon have a New Year on our doorsteps. If ever there was a better time to ring the changes then this is it, so can we all agree we love Bristol City, and whatever personal opinions we have on other things down at the stadium in BS3 are just opinions and not designed to create friction, so that we can enjoy the future of our club in unified peace and see where it will take us. Happy New Year to all the lads, young and old, who support this board and keep it running because you are all heroes in your own way.
100% agree Banksy , whilst we are all able to make our own decisions about how these things it would have been good had you been able to gently prise a change of mind , as it's a shame anyone who feels the way about city that Wiz obviously does is missing the football they are producing this season . That said, like you , I agree , he doesn't owe anybody any explanation or apologies .
Ok all bullshit aside my favourite Christmas Snap.. Most festive Bristol City manager Lee Johnson explaining December’s ballboy-based goal celebration after their winner against Manchester United: “When the ball went in I didn’t know what to do, no one knew what to do. I wanted to go on the pitch but I couldn’t, so I just ran down the line. It was great to see the ballboy there. He got an absolute rib‑crushing from me.” please log in to view this image ...and LJ won a Gaurdian award~ https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2...rts-awards-mourinho-fifa-lewis-hamilton#img-4
