Shearer was superb...Kane is superb and is smashing all of Shearer's records. What do you read into that?
Wrong! Harry Kane signs new contract with Tottenham until 2022 to take wages towards £100,000-a-week mark Kane will earn close to a six-figure fee despite signing his last deal in February this year Facts supplied by the Independent. Another Spud who knows feck all about his team.
I could get you sources quoting what I said but I can't be arsed. The point remains...he's getting more than you initially claimed.
Bullshit, mate... You’re clutching at non existent straws. There’s other things in life apart from money. He’s already on millions per year with his bonuses and sponsorship deals. He has a young family who are local, he’s been with the club since age 10. He’s going nowhere in the foreseeable future.
The only ones you could show if you were arsed are ones that basically say the same but go in heavily with the word ‘Potentially’.
are you that ****ing naive that because he wears a white shirt he enjoys being paid 60% less than The likes of Charlie Austin?
Point remains...he can get more than what you claimed he can get at Spurs. Therefore no need to leave
Potentially and he ‘can’ amount to much conjecture. We all know Spuds will follow the Arsenal model, new stadium not enough new signings, strict pay structure because there’s no way in hell the payment for the stadium is coming out of the directors wages.
Like I said, it ain’t always about money. He clearly has a great loyalty to the club. Also, Players are just regular guys with families most of them, just like anybody else. Their families and wive’s families are very often local. They move to another city or even country many, many miles away. The wife and family leave behind their friends and family and they’re unhappy. An unhappy wife means an unhappy, unsettled player. And he’s not gonna give anywhere near his best.
I agree with that. But by the same token, when this has been said by others previously about other players, it’s been shot down and mocked by, dare I say if, Spurs fans. Vardy fitted the criteria you say by remaining with us. Besides, this is the most pointless argument even by not606 standards as nobody knows what Kane will do apart from Kane! I don’t blame anyone who is sceptical he will stay. It’s not necessarily against Kane or Spurs, it’s people’s observations of modern day footballers. There’s far more examples of ones who say the famous words then jump ship at the first offer than there are who stay loyal. That’s just a fact. Personally if more players show loyalty over a big pay day it can only be good for the sport
I think Spurs will lose Lloris, Eriksen and Alli before they lose Kane. But Kane himself has said that he would never rule out a move to Real Madrid if they came in with an offer. And to be fair, Spurs fans couldn't blame him if he did go. Opportunities like that only really come around once in a footballer's career.
Wrong! That probably could have been said in the 60’s & 70’s and to a lesser degree in the 80’s but today’s footballers want to look back on a career with successes and money because unlike us their career is relatively short and a sight lot shorter if badly injured. Most of today’s footballers are as thick as two short planks and Kane is no exception as he falls into that category. Basically his career will be over come 34 so he has ten years left if he’s lucky. Will the club pay for his children’s education, health plan, houses, holidays when he’s cast out? Will they **** that’s why they look to earn top money in their prime years and not kick around a club on low wages when he could be assured of at least a 150% pay rise at a big club with a real chance of European football every year and success. As fans we all want to see our top players stay because we are all basically selfish. Trust me if he doesn’t get an improved offer and win some medals he will get restless and want out like Rose, Walker, Toby and Dier.
Kane seems like he's got a bit more loyalty to Spurs than some. But Spurs will not be able to rely on that loyalty without paying him the going rate, or something near it, for very long. Especially if they continue their trophyless run.
