well Sky must be rubbing their hands together for the sky game Saturday evening. This has to be the next full house at the revamped Ashton Gate. What a game No1 v No2 I’m going for a city win 2-1
I will be placing a bet so that I can watch the match on Bet 365. As you say Red Robin this is another chance to strut our stuff against a team that will probably go up a division and if we can beat pretenders from up north then why not Wolves? Do you think I should put my money on City? Stupid question EH?
The lads must be feeling the pinch in having so many injuries at such a busy period, but so far they've done an outstanding job. I'm worried that we'll be a couple of fit first-teamers short for the Wolves game, but they haven't been tearing it up quite like they were earlier this season, so maybe we can keep our run going. Beat us and I think they're too far into the horizon for us to hope to catch them - beat them and they'll be a lot of fans out there thankful for us reeling them in and keeping both automatic spots open for the taking. I think a draw is a highly probable result myself and I don't think I'd be that disappointed with that. If City play as we know they can though, we can do more and then we can enter January with genuine aspirations of automatic promotion...
Peeking on their forum, there seems to be a wide range of views. I think the majority say they expect a tough game and would be ok with a draw, but there are a handful who think no-one (including us) in the division who are 'in their league'. With the players they've signed, they should be expecting automatic promotion, though from as far as I can tell, they haven't experienced much in the way of bad luck regarding injuries as of yet, so it'd be interesting to see if they have the strength in depth to keep it going if say Ruben Neves and/or Leo Bonatini are out for any considerable amount of time...
Our own injury list is going to be very difficult to overcome for this game, especially if Baker and Pato are missing as well. This may be one game too many with the recent exertions.
This is also a similar reply to your LJ thread. How many of us would of thought Pato would become this player based on last seasons poor run? I’m still laughing thinking that he came on yesterday picked the team up, scored a great goal then went off again. Bit like “do it like this lads” statement. As me Julie says, he’s such a busy player always willing to run round all game, a great team player. Who also drops back when Joe Bryan goes forward.
I'm afraid this might be a game too far for our knackered lads. They have done fantastically well, but without Baker and Paterson (particularly Baker) against the current runaway league leaders I fear a defeat is on the cards.
Win, Lose or draw, we are doing fantastic.....the biggest test will be is how we respond if we are beaten....With our injuries and players out a draw wouldn't be a bad result.......be nice if the chasing clubs lose!!!
I’m surprised at how many tickets we have given Wolves: 3,500. I would have expected us to restrict their allocation in order to keep them quiet - like we did Man U.
Wolves completely sold allocation,us should be sold out. What a game tomorrow night. No more incentive required after Cardiff loosing tonight.
Let’s hope it’s a better spectacle than the Cardiff game was tonight. Dire - although I was pleased with the result.
Have to say Cardiff and Preston surprised me last night, both very very poor. On that showing they will both miss out on the playoffs.
