I know, but I couldn't bring myself to post that. So, whose posts were political? A poster named Erm...the ones that didn't stay up?
Her offence in this country was possession of a Cat C drug, a minor offence normally dealt with by means of a caution and even if they did go after whoever got her them, they wouldn’t go to prison either.
I do feel some sympathy but rhe woman is 33 and broke the law in this country. I feel sympathy for a lot of families were someone has gone off the rails. Rules are rules, laws are laws, they are there for a reason. Sadly, I agree with someone who said that she will sell the story and then she can bring her boyfriend to live here and be Bessie mates with our leaders.
I know, but if they weren't party to it then it is possible to feel sympathy for the affect it has on them whilst thinkingbshe is not deserving of any. Though I must admitbthat ifvshe had been my daughter the rather weird arrangement she has with this bloke would have caused me more concern than it appears to have done with her parents,
I have always found it strange, I have been through Egyptian airports over 250 times in my life, last time a few months ago, I have never had my bag checked or seen anyone else have their bag checked on arrival. It has always felt like a tip off to me why she was checked.
You sound a bit disappointed to me. Is it easy to tip off customs in Egypt john? Let me know when you're going next mate... touch your toes...
Sorry I wasn't aware ignorance or stupidity was a perfectly fine excuse for not being held accountable for your actions or the law..... Possibly could explain why your still in a job though tbf
Welcome to the age of "it's someone else's fault" or there's always an excuse or reason, nobody in this day and age can ever just hold their hands up and say "yer, sorry I was wrong" and take their punishment
She must have a syndrome, the symptoms of which can be controlled by some counselling and followed by some training she can go on to lead a normal life.
It’s not an excuse, but in most countries it would at least be a mitigating factor when it came to punishment. I take 100 Co-Codomol with me every time I go away, until this case, I had absolutely no idea that this was a criminal offence in some countries. She was probably aware that she was doing something she shouldn’t, but almost certainly had no idea that the consequences could be this severe.
Just heard her sister say this is no way to treat a young girl. When do you stop being a young girl in Hull and become an adult?
Sad news...Maybe harsh to get a three stretch, but incredibly silly on her behalf....With the publicity doing the rounds in the media, it might deter some other numpty from doing the same,
Then the law i She was deffo aware she had not been given a prescription for the tablets and by getting them on the sly she knew she was breaking the law in our country.
Our lass is forever saying "stop moaning". My reply "when stupid people stop acting stupid is when I stop" She is a good egg though and I wouldn't be without her.
