I don't do Spain. And if Spain happens to have special rules regarding Paracetamol, I wouldn't have known it.
Helps to know about things before commenting on them. Easy enough to look up. For or five yearscago I was in hospital and in a lot of pain. They had tried a lot of things. Gave me morphine and I had such a bad reaction they had to give me something else to counteract it. Then they put me on tramadol. Eased the pain but after a few days said to the wife I felt bloody awful. When I was discharged a few days later the second day at home I got a phone call from my doctor at 8 in the morning, he is really excellent at these sort of things, and he said he hadcseen my discharge notes. He said he noted they had put me on tramodol and it was my choice, but his advice was to ditch them and try and get through it without them. The long term implications of taking them were not in most cases worth it and the highlynaddictive nature of them is horrendous.
So you should have been let off for being ignorant? A couple f tips. If anyone asks you to take them a few bottles of whisky to Jeddah or Tehran don't. If you do Greece make sure you have a copy of your prescription if you have any tablets containing codein.
A relative of a neighbour went into hospital a couple of years back. Been taking Tramadol for years as his doctor had taken easy option to deal with a major problem he had. They would not give him any in hospital. The neighbour said it was awful. He screamed the place down, and was ringing round trying to get someone to get hold of some. Wich of course they wouldn't. And couldn't. Makes you wonder why this lass didn't realise something was amiss when this bloke she had a weird relationship with, to put it mildly, asked her to get some, why couldn't he get some himself for starters, and then she had to go through a mate to get them as she couldn't. The mate hasn't come forward as she know she has committed an offence. Begs the question as to why her mate has a spare 290 tramadol tablets and where they came from as the prescriptions don't give you that many in advance and if she can give so many away does she need them?
You don't think this loving "boyfriend", who, despite being married, had gone to the bother of getting a piece of paper signedmso he could shack up with her on her visits, was gulp, using her?
So your reckon if I didn't know the laws of whatever country I was visiting, I'd deserve three years in their prison?
Ye my GP gave me them and didn't explain anything about them. They were to help me sleep is all he said. The exact opposite effect with me, I was like a bloody owl all night. Tried them for four or five days before giving up. My mate takes them now. He's in agony with the vertebrae in his neck, nothing left between the bones and he uses them sparingly and talks of weird weird dreams when he does.
So laws of countries only apply to people who live there as visitors can't be expected to know them? Anyone from a country where the age of consent is less than 16 can plead ignorance if caught having sex with a 14 year old here? Yanks could claim ignorance if arriving loaded with weapons. A woman, even if daft enough to be involved in the weird relationship she is, surely must have thought there was something dodgy about being asked to take over a load of tablets when she found out she couldn't legally obtain them here?
Similar with me. Had problems sleeping. To be fair akways have had sleeping problems but these compounded them. After a few days felt like I had flu ( and I had proper flu in the 1968 outbreak so knew what it felt like), aching all over. Packed them in after doctor's call and after 3 or 4 days the feelings had gone. The pain they had subdued was back though. When I told doctor about this next time I saw him he said coming off them after could be as bad as coming off heroin. And you could get dependant on them in a surprisingly short time. A friend of mine with an inoperable cancer was put on them and gave them up because of the side effects. Which considering the chemotherapy and radiotherapy he has gone through and their side effects says something about them.
Lots of presumptions here. She could have been asked to bring over some tablets and he meant IPads but the translation went wrong.
