Just a shame I can only like this once.

    Similar against Bmouth and Leicester.

    See Ron/Morgan too.

On another note, why was Stephens played at right back?

I don’t know what to say to you, I really don’t. To me, the effort wasn’t there and if it was effort it was the wrong effort. I don’t expect to see a CB showing me effort by charging out of position several times again when an opposing team is in our final third.

If there was effort, we’d have seen Spurs players having to bust a gut to do something. We just saw a Spurs team in a training session. It was easy for them. If I’m going to be really cruel, I don’t care how well we attack when we’re 4-0 down, as that’s too late.

I usually get stick for being a positive, happy clapper, but that was a shocking performance.

He was out there against Huddersfield too. And to a large degree, against Arsenal.

MP either doesn't rate Pied, or doesn't think he's match fit enough to play. (And to be fair to MP, I wasn't impressed with Pied vs Bmouth).

Arsenal was a back 3 though wasn't it? Just seems to me that playing him as right back in a 4 away to Spurs was asking for trouble.

You didn't see the Leicester or Huddersfield games did you? Today we were exposed against a better team, but showed something we didn't against sides that we should be beating, especially in Huddersfields case. Leicester was a million miles worse than today IMO, but that may have been because I went and it was freezing.

My view of the Arsenal game was that it was a back four in possession, with Stephens at RB. But out of possession, it was a mixture of a back five (with JWP at RWB) and a back four (with JWP at RB, and Stephens man-marking Sanchez wherever he went).

All this talk of Les pulling the trigger etc. I actually think it might not come from him. A certain Mr Gao might be getting a twitchy arse right about now.

Fine by me. Even more so if Mr Gao pulls the trigger a second time, whilst he's at it.

I can see Les leaving by summer anyway, might be 'retiring' though.

I don't know about Van Dijk, he could still have been a dick under MP1. You have to remember this is the same guy that had meals with Klopp..

This is it Fats. You’re “suffering” by not having your ST this season (though not as much as those that have one!) You also know me well enough to know I’m generally a happy clapper, so for me to have given up on this a few games back tells you, we’re in deep doo-dah.

The abject performance against Leicester and today's fiasco should be enough to see him get the bullet, they are by far the worst since we came back to the PL.
I think that the only thing that might save him for now is possibly Les Reed's ego.

I am normally a happy clapper and gave up 3 or 4 games ago. It is getting to the stage where rather than look forward to watching us, I dread it.
