    Haha, class one Zico!

And yeh Polar, it was pretty emotional towards the end. In fact, it was a pretty emotional film throughout, as he was a very emotional guy. His reaction after winning the brazilian grand prix was amazing, seeing them having to pry his fingers off the wheel as he couldn't move from physical and mental exhaustion!

Legend has it that Eddie's response, while getting himself back up off the floor, was something along the lines of "right, you're getting a [personal injury] claim against you".

What a complete ****in tool of a man he is.

It kind of made Prost a bit of a villain in my opinion which wasn't fair but it was a fantastic film full stop.

Of course the topic was the film on Senna not who died on that weekend until a user appeared not to know the facts. Roland Ratzenberger was tragically killed as well and was in the thoughts of everyone including Senna who died the day after Roland died.

Yep - so much in the thoughts of everyone that they continued racing on a circuit that was clearly not safe. The organisers and team management may as well have shot Ayrton senna as they basically sent him to his death. And the fans watching form the stands were no better - hardly a mark of respect for the man who died the day before is it? ****s

Many drivers thought about not racing but most agreed to race.2 have 2 deaths in one weekend was tragic for F1 and that one of them was arguably the greatest person ever to step into a car on the planet made it doubly tragic.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it tragic - the passing of over privileged boy racers getting paid millions for poncing around in fast cars isn't the sort of thing that gets me too upset. However, the whole episode at imola was a disgrace - the very people who killed senna made out it was just a frweak occurence when they could and should have taken steps to prevent it from happening.

I'm pretty sure Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, JFK and other great people got in cars at some point.

I don't know if it's true, but after the medics had removed senna from the wrecked car, they found a small folded up austrian flag in it. Senna was planning on honouring Ratzenberger on the podium after the race.

Imola is one of the fastest tracks in the world but that wasn't the cause of Senna's death.

That whole race weekend was marred by crashes by Barichello, Ratzenberger and 2 drivers off the start that caused the race to have to be restarted.

And of course Senna had an Austrian flag in his overalls to show his support of Roland.

<laugh> Good point - why do people who die in thepublic eye suddenly not only become legends but also the most wonderful people? I distinctly remember him being quite unpopular in his driving days and then, hey presto, he crashes into a wall and we're told he was about to announce that he was the second coming. Of course if he had been he might have looked where he was going.
