I think Adkins has had a tough run of opening games. Cardiff, Leeds & Derby all near the top end of the table. Get this and the Fulham game out of the way, get a few players back from injury and maybe buy a player or 2 then crack on with the rest of the season. I think Adkins will keep us up but I dont think it'll be an easy ride..
Tough game, I'm not even sure who is fit and available for selection? Was the Mazuch injury serious? I'd like to see 4-4-2 if Mazuch is available with 2 centre forwards. We could do with 3 points to put some daylight between us and the trap door- which is ominously too close for comfort.

You’re right there! Sometimes it’s difficult for players to perform when they know there’s capable players on the bench! Scared to make a mistake incase they get hooked? Can sometimes work against them?

City are quiet capable of beating Derby, they just need to play like they did against Leeds, apart from the McGregor howler, but maintain for the whole match.
We need to stop rolling over for teams at home. Especially in front of a bumper Boxing Day home crowd of 15k minus 20%.
Really need to get something out of today/saturday before we travel to Bolton who had a good win against Cardiff, if we don't pick anything up can see us in the bottom three come new years day then the trip to Bolton really does become a six pointer.
