As if this season wasn't hard enough, to be facing a difficult run of fixtures without 3 of our back 4 is a disaster. Not an excuse for MP2 tho, we would be able to absorb the hit if he hadn't done such a goddawful job so far.

Perhaps a consistent run of Stephens Yoshida, Hoedt and Targett will see some of the errors ironed out. Not their fault at all if they're being played out of position, lacking in regular football and alongside unfamiliar partners. On that note expect to see Pied at RB, McQueen at LB and Gardos make his first appearance in the middle. Just to rest a couple. The rest of the team picks itself. I mean Redmond, Redmond picks himself.

Match Day, not hungover after carefully managing alcohol intake yesterday, to join in but not blow the gout out of the end of my toe :)

    Gout seems better today

Match day. Hangovers a thing of the past for this reformed dipsomaniac. Wouldn't really fancy running around for 90 minutes though, there's still 5 pound of spuds, 4 pigs in blankets, 3 mince pies, 2 pickled onions and turkey leg in gravy trying to digest.

Anyway, who we playing? Spurs? I really don't like spurs, never have. There's always been something of the night about that lot, Rupert Lowe was right - North London yobboes, too big for their boots. They have graced the game with some very entertaining sides over the years, & I have friends and even relatives who support them. But collectively, their fans are Orcs.

Please god, give us a Christmas miracle

Brilliant. My only trip to Old Wembley. As a 7 year old the pitch felt miles away compared to front row at the dell. Mattie pulled 2 goals back but we lost to a late goal. Sound familiar?

It went to ET and Scott Gemill got the winner if I remember correctly.

Perhaps we should look at injury/suspension as a blessing? We will loose the next 2 games full squad or not. Why not play some youth? McQueen, a youth RB, striker? Is Gallagher still out on loan?

I may well be wrong, because I haven't followed Gallagher's progress at Birmingham at all. But when briefly flicking through the Championship highlights on C5 a couple of weeks or so back, Sam bundled one in from close range and I think the commentator said it was his second goal of the season. In the Championship.

Oh. Not as promising as his Blackburn loan spell.

We've done rock all with our first choice 11 this season, lets see what we can do with a rag tag bunch of misfits and a tramp leading the line!
I've got a good feel about this. <laugh>

Exactly. I like the tramp idea. He will play with the energy of a hobo.

I think he has scored two in his last two/three as well as getting sent off.

Would appear to be correct. I wasn't aware of their game vs Sunderland three days ago (a goal and a red card for Sam). So that's three for the season for him, and a one match ban today. Nicely timed suspension, Sam, well played!
