In the “good old days” I really used to look forward to the televisual treats broadcast on Christmas Day. Now I struggle to find anything that I really want to watch. The one saving grace for me, yesterday, was watching Ron Moody as ***in, in the musical Oliver. Superb performance.
No television for us yesterday. New games and traditional games for us and the kids. My charade of “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire” brought the house down.... I’ll leave you to imagine my actions for the first word
At our local tip this morning they have decided not open to the public because of 3 drops of snow So imagine the convoy of cars full of Xmas rubbish being turned away as the tip guys are sat there drinking tea.

The sun shines on the righteous....the snow stopped at the Solent. Was blustery here....now the Sun (or a very pale imitation) is fighting to appear over the Island.
Very surprised to see a couple of inches of snow this morning, up here on the high plateau of the Mendip Alps. When I went to bed last night it was absolutely chucking it down with rain and had been for hours, so the snow did well to pitch at all, let alone hang around under the blazing sun until now.
