lads... i know you are having fun last night right..

but mane was a red. no question to me. ref did what he felt right on the day.

I personally think refs got the word to ease off so teams get through festive fixtures.

Austin was a clear red. ref has obviously ignored it totally. which is dead wrong.

The Mane one looked worse due to the fact he’s going full pelt and he’s gone in studs fully up.

Is that reckless? When he knows the keep is coming flying out for that ball? I think so. It was less about the foot up element and more about the reckless abandon with which he did it imo.

And the ref seeing the keepers jaw move 4 inches off his face.

Clearly refs are using a different standard for this period of games to keep players on the park so refs avoid critique.

Yeah but that was absolutely stupid. Plus it was against utd so always going to be given :bandit:

The lad was so stupid the ref had to give that second yellow. I'm sure he regrets giving the first one now. The first was an ironed on yellow but any ref would assume a guy is not going to smash Rashford up in the air in front of him like that.

    Incidentally...

    Injuries now.

    Smalling for Utd.

    Henderson for us.

    Montreal for arsenal.

Rooney sick and gueye for everton

    Anyone else?

I can see Utd using the injury excuse shortly. Bailly, smalling and felliani out.

Who ever listens to the opinion of a Ref.

Niasse one, Ref said it was a penno. Said he would give same again after watching replay.

FA panel ban him anyway. Maybe review every little decision ?

The FA made their panel and they found someone to punish and moved on

New rules and directives are only created to apply to one person and then immediately forgotten

This is how the FA maintains its impressively low #consistency

If the FA just made decisions at random there would statistically be a higher correlation than their current record, that's why they constantly need to intervene with anti-correlation measures

Not disagreeing it was reckless but Gallagher reckons recklessness wasn't a factor in the Kane incident, and according to him it's not that but the intent that is the prime factor, like IT said(and others)it's the inconsistency that does people's heads in, even the though the West Ham lad got a retro two match ban for simulation it doesn't even things out for the Everton player recieving similar, because simply there'll be other cases that will see blatantly obvious dives not getting punished.
Gallagher slated Clattenberg for admitting he never followed the laws/rules of the game(Chelsea v Spurs)to the letter, yet here he is himself admitting he'd have done the same in the Kane incident despite agreeing totally that Mane had to go against City, like i said in an earlier post, the blood and the cut meant that on the day Mane got his marching orders.

    For an accidental challenge.

We have seen players get away with blatant tackles.

It's the consistency that is a joke. And so far we seem to be the only club punished for it and ones who meant it or at least looked like they did have not been punished.

One thing all supporters can agree on is the refs and fa are a ****ing joke.

That's fair enough, but why only on keepers?

And what's the difference between a player who didn't mean it to one who may have?

    Same punishment. That's wrong.

Particularly when goalies constantly come out to claim the ball in the air with their foot high and pointing at the oppo player(s) to keep them away which is dangerous play in its own right.
