    So we could learn from the champs from the Irish, Belgian, Austrian, Swiss, Finnish leagues etc. They all won titles on smaller budgets than us.

    Leicester, fair enough. The stars aligned and they won, fair play. But they've slipped back to mid table, and don't look like mounting another challenge anytime soon.

    Whats their owners worth btw?

    Third wealthiest team in Spain in 2017, way behind Real and Barca, is very different to third different in England.

    When Atletico won league, they weren’t third wealthiest and had a wage bill less than qpr.

    They are richer now

    No they won it fair and square. But it wasn’t the outcome of a well thought through plan so it’s hardly a feat that another club could learn from.

    I think the plan was pretty much win each game as it came. Makes sense really, normally as a fan I find myself looking at the permutations and other results etc and who we have next week, next month. That season I was only interested in the next match each time

    I'm sorry but how is comparing Athletico relevant to spend in the premier league?
    The premier league is awash with Sky money, which inflates anything football. You might have a point if Athletico are bottom of the Spanish spend league.
