For those that are missing their EXPRESS fix. Smug remainers who downplayed Britain PROVED WRONG: UK top of world in economy figures A LAST minute revision to official growth figures as seen Britain tied with Germany to top the list of the world’s fastest...
"Latest official revisions mean UK economy grew just a natch below 2% in 2016, same as Germany and above US/Canada (1.5%), France (1.1%), Italy/Japan (1%). So joint first for growth in 2016." Soon be 2018 I believe and even the Express admits that they are talking about 2016.
Why do you drag up old material and try to present is as current ? Are you running out of valid arguments ?
pretty soon we'll be forced to import all the unhealthy **** Americans eat, GM crops and hormonal meat.
What a bunch of charmers. In terms of making the correct moral choices in life, my Dad used to say “It’s your refection in the mirror you have to look at.” Easy enough for these bastards - they don't have a reflection.
Anybody want to sign a Knighthood for Farage petition? He certainly deserves one for his long standing service to free his country from the shackles of Brussels.
... into the shackles of the USA and all the corrupt countries we sell arms and other nasty things to. To hear Farage cooing about a blue passport yesterday was plain gross...
I think the reason he wants a German passport is that it would make him the same as the royal family. Horrible narcissistic self serving publicity seeking cockroach of the highest order. The fact he bitched about not getting am honour last time round speaks absolute volumes. Anyway, when all the Brexit hand clappers see what really happens when we leave they'll be asking for him to be sent to the gallows.
Farage has a lot in common with Winston Churchill, both spent their lives fighting against the odds of German dominated anti democratic tyrants, he deserves the due recognition. He has certainly proved to be the most influential UK politician since the great Maggie Thatcher.
He has absolutly nothing in common with Winston Churchill SH. Churchill was one of the most pro European politicians ever - he had a vision for a 'United States of Europe' long before many others together with a deep passion for political union of governments. 'Hard as it is to say now......I look forward to a United States of Europe, in which the barriers between the nations will be greatly minimised and unrestricted travel will be possible' - written in a letter to Anthony Eden on Oct. 21st 1942. It appears that Churchill was a fan of Schengen long before it's signing. As regards your darling Thatcher - you might like to remember that in 1983 the Michael Foot manifesto wanted to take Britain out of the EU. whereas Thatcher wanted to stay in. Don't try to rewrite history by placing those 2 in the Brexit camp.
I think Farage will have to wait a few years for honours until the EU countries give him awards for services to their industries that he will have helped considerably.
Churchill's vision of Europe was not what it is actually creeping towards. He would not have approved the loss of sovereignty for the UK and the undemocratic practices employed by the eurocrats when the people's vision does not mirror theirs. He would have been aghast at the ease in which illegal immigrants and terrorists have been allowed to move around the EU with impunity. He would not have been pleased with the domination of the EU by the German nation, something he fought against so hard. I'm sure he would have thought Farage was true patriot and those that constantly try to damage the UK as traitors that require a bit of tar and feathering!!
There is a good article today in the Sunday Times about currency speculators pilling back into sterling, the highest rate since Sept 2014. Nomura expects the pound to rise to $1.48 by the end of 2018, close to where it traded before the referendum. The project fear fake predictions continue to be more suitable for the xmas panto than the real world.
The blind faith being shown by so many supposedly intelligent people is a sight to behold. You know full well that the predictions of economic meltdown were based on an immediate exit. They're now trying desperately to ensure minimum casualties when we drive the bus off the cliff - but casualties there will be. Still, at least those who lose their jobs and houses can enjoy having their country back and look at their shiny blue passports - even though they won't be able to go anywhere with it.
