It was a very odd demographic. All my retired relatives bar one voted Remain. A lot of the lads on sites voted out as did their wives - I live in an area with quite a big polish and Romania population and they're definitely being blamed for pushing down wages, increasing waiting times in hospitals and surgeries and taking school places.
Of course even if any of that is true the fault lies not with the individual but with the government for failing to create an infrastructure that grows at the same pace as the population and with businesses for employing cheaper labour. It is a tad irritating that a lot of the people complaining about it are second generation immigrants themselves.

 

I don't qualify anyway as my mum and dad are Irish

Strange behaviour.
The Irish don't want to live in EU Ireland but instead live in England and vote to stay in the EU.
If they don't want to assimilate and refuse to be labelled British why leave Ireland ?

 

They go wherever the work is. Has nothing to do with not wanting to live in Ireland

 

Whatever you want it to apparently. I think that's because when we are on a par with Somalia - and start asking why that should be when we were told we would all be millionaires and the NHS would be so good that if you that in their toilets you'd walk out with 3 bars of gold bullion - the powers that be can say there were different permutations and we should have realised that.

 

At least the Irish will **** off
