So it's that time of year again....CK's annual Graham Poll as we look back at a year of ups and downs. An emotional farewell to one of football's most beloved stadiums made more special by the fact that we dropped 4 points there all season. A turgid showing in Europe ending in abject humiliation at the hands of lowly Gent tempered greatly by a formidable run that saw us win 9 on the trot, scoring 25 and conceding just 4 - emerging at the other side as the only side in the country with a realistic chance of challenging Chelsea's dominion at the top.

Alas, it wasn't to be as the Chavs' consistency and the ****estorm in claret conspired against us. Poor Leicester and Hull suffered the brunt of our backlash to that disappointment as we utterly destroyed both sides to finish the season in suitably ruthless fashion to make amends for the Newcastle debacle. The one that convinced us that Sissoko could play football. Yes, THAT one.

Fast forward through a rather turbulent summer during which our long-serving full backs caused more of a commotion than Donald Trump with Twitter's expanded character count. This season has seen roles reverse as we struggle to find our feet in the league but totally owned a CL group that looked nigh-on impossible when the balls were removed from UEFA's shiny bowl.

    So...what was your favourite moment?

    Happy new year everyone <cheers>

I voted for the last home game v United. It's the least our spiritual home deserved. What a send off...it was emotional.

    P 19
    W 17
    D 2
    GF 47
    GA 9

    PTS 54 out of 57

    <applause>

Edit: it's 53 points out of 57...left it for the sake of continuity

Voted for the United match...the finale.
Was a brilliant and emotional day with my youngest.

I would have voted for the FA Cup 4th round match v Wycombe if it were a choice.
2 nil down at ht...back to to 2 all. Then down to 10 men cos of injury for the last 20 minutes. 3-2 down with 6 mins to go and went on to win 4-3 with the last kick of the game.

Classic cup game, so many ups and downs and it was the last match at the lane that me and both my girls went to.

Great idea for a thread btw

Voted for Madrid at Wembley. Seeing Ronaldo's face after we scored our third and watching Ramos lose it with Mousa was a joy that will take a long time to forget. Yes, I had to watch it on TV.<wah>

    The Swansea away game.

Those last 5 or so mins when the team showed that
they would refuse to let the PL campaign go Spursy
when the pressure was really on.

In a similar vein you could also have mentioned
    the Palace away game.

I've gone for the NLD. Don't remember seeing us beating them so comprehensively in the PL in my lifetime. Could've been 4 or 5 by full time. 21 years is a ridiculous length of time to wait and pretty much came to define my life as a Spurs fan. That victory was so fitting as the last NLD at the Lane and was catharsis for years of 'mind the gap' taunts in the playground.

The win over Utd came close but tbh at full time a wave of sadness overcame me knowing it was all over. A poignant moment more than a 'favourite' one.

The Real game probably would've got my vote had the side not been resting on its laurels ever since. Our league form has sadly diluted the enjoyment I had that night. Still a moment that will live long in the memory though.

For anyone that needs a reminder:

Utd for me, too. Last game in an unbeaten home season, winning at a canter, then nearly throwing it away.

  13. With all the best festive will in the world, a scrambled victory at home against a mid-table L1 team should never be a highlight of a year! <yikes>

And the goal of the game was WW’s 3rd. Brilliant move and header!

The United game at the Lane for me. Although every option to choose from was amazing in its own way, that last game at the Lane was special for more than just the result. End of an era.

    Fackin'ell, CK!

You've made it near enough impossible to choose a winner!

Though as others have said, the Utd game edges it for me. It was the perfect way to send the old girl off, I knew I'd miss her but boy it actually hurts not playing there, Wembley has probably heightened the feels but I bloody loved WHL and I pray that New WHL can be just as amazing.
