Morning ER, on Saturday, we will be trying to make ER a fortress on Saturday afternoon. I can see you making it difficult for us to score, and with our defence, anything can happen.
Morning Walter, since we lost Wood to Burnley, we have been struggling up front for goals. Can't see us scoring three. It will be a tight game. A defensive error or set piece could seal it for either side I reckon.
To be honest, I can't see us going down. I don't think the expectation of the realists among us was ever going to be anything other than mid table obscurity this season. We need to rebuild and get some consistency going. I'd take a few seasons at this level, I've yet to see any team of any proper quality this season (Wolves aside) and were it not for an abhorrent injury crisis and some managerial boo-boos, we'd probably be in the top half. Who knows.
Feeling a lot more confident against Hull than I used to do when Bruce was there. He had average but got them promotion on a shoestring, as well as playing so decent football. Adkins has always been a nemesis for Leeds but think Tommy will have done his homework. Xmas isnt a time for fielding an unchanged 11 and Ayling's comments yesterday were telling. He said under Monk everyone knew 8 of the starters for every game, which meant the 8 were knackered at the end of the season so didnt do what was expected of them. So we will see how Tommy sets his squad up, who gets played, who gets onto the bench, does he really think the players he neglected are good enough to step in, or is he waiting for new signings?
We are not 'the cod heads', that's Grimsby and we don't consider you as 'rivals' Having been in our shadow for the last decade those facts may have evaded you. On the football side of things, we had three looks at the Premier League whilst you were playing Yeovil etc and decided it's not all what it's cracked up to be, and they don't like us much, We still get the odd 50 year old bald headed, beer gut, builders bum jeans wearers in cheap white trainers in Hull, mostly on the council estates who still cling to LUFC ( supporting from the pub) but not as many as we used to get, 47 years ago when you were the champions on Europe ( titter) As it is I will not be paying £39, you an shove that up your arse. I don't think we can name a starting eleven at this early stage, us being a small bit club and that, we have to see how many of our young lads can get off work early for the game before a team sheet can be handed in. Has 1-1 all over it, in your cup final.
Good Morning Matt and co from a dull Bardsey I am l,ooking after my grandson today but I thought I would ask you what your thoughts were about watching Joe Bryan last night I think we have missed the boat on him now
I have yet to see you make a suggestion that wasn’t either beyond our means (Gayle) or suggested weeks ago by someone else usually on the HITC. Perhaps someone else can. Either way it’s pointless you looking in Aldi when Orta is shopping at B and M bargains.
Dull are on their way back to where they belong now,and their crowds are racing them down to the bottom, happy days so poor old dull have £40+ million pounds worth of players out injured, well that puts you in the top few teams on squads so no sympathy from me,every team has injuries yours just cost more, back to league 2 and 3,000 crowds soon and Derbys v Grimsby where you can tell them how big you were and you once held up the premier league.
