Just finished watching the Justin Fashanu story on Netflix. Really powerful, incredibly sad documentary. Watching the footage back from the 80s, you forget how much society has changed for the better in attitudes towards race and sexuality, but it’s shocking to see how awful it was still well within a lot of our lifetimes. It’s a tough watch, but well worth it and highly recommended. His mum and John don’t come out of it terribly well tbh (and nor does Brian Clough).

Congratulations mate......it really is something special to see another generation of your family starting out. Great stuff may all your offsprings problems be little ones........... (I said that after my first grandchild was borne now I have 19 + 1 great grand child and another due in the spring)
Cheers Laces. Just added to my list to take a look. I've mentioned before on here that it is good to see how far we have progressed in my lifetime in attitudes. We are in danger of becoming too politically correct, but that is outweighed by the good in the change.
