    'They were lucky'
    Bristol City 2-1 Manchester United

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "They were a bit lucky but they fought a lot to be lucky. Everyone was waiting for our goal so they were lucky. We hit the post twice.

"But they played brilliantly, they fought like it was the game of their lives which probably it was. A beautiful day for football. A team from the lower division won. A big day for them.

"In the first half we lacked the intensity that they had. Physically and mentally. It was one more day in the office for my players, a day that some of them didn't even want to come to he office.

    Miserable little man.

You have to be good to be lucky, so stop moaning Jose. Our team work was excellent and I'm sure that all City's players considered it the game of their lives, and the result was earned by good honest commitment.

Man Utd were lucky to have an undeserved free-kick...

Looking back though, scoring a last minute winner is just so much better a story though!

    EXTREMELY EXTREMELY COMPLIMENTARY
WELL YOU COULD SAY SOUR GRAPES, BUT HEY THEY ARE SECOND IN THE PREM FIELDED A TEAM THAT WAS NOT FAR SHORT A OF A TEAM THAT COULD BE EASILY PICKED FOR A PREMIERSHIP GAME AND LOST IN THE LAST MINUTE.....
oh and by the way I do not really Like JM... BUT I am always fair and think his comments as published are pretty complimentary considering the disappointment he must have .....

    NO pretty reasonable

I dont watch Premiership football, but any respect I had for JM disappeared with his childish comments

It could have been a different story had their shots that hit the bar and post gone in.

It could also have been different against Palace had their shots that hit the woodwork at the Atyeo End in the first half gone in.

    But none of them did.

On both occasions we scored more than the opposition and that's how football works.

    Simples

I like Jose, I always have and my regards for LJ are well known but I believe Jose's comments lacked class and generousity for the winning side and manager.

The enthusiasm, skill, discipline, team spirit , effort and brotherhood displayed by Bristol City last night was superb, the leadership, gameplan and result was a compliment to the manager and his team, they all deserve the highest accolades and congratulations for their performance last night and not a couple of snorted and miserable retorts from a defeated and deflated manager.

and therein lies the answer, a defeated and deflated manager. to lose a game 1-0 with 10 mins or 5 or 20 to go is never so bad as a last minute kick or goal with no response time.
I have been to games where our fans or others have "uttered oath's and abuse, chucked their programmes on the floor and stormed out" after conceding in the last moments of a game to lose all or 2 points... I never have ... it is a response to inner temperament, and the reaction is always for these peeps /situations in line with the reward they have lost.

to win £500,000 you have 3 answers to a question but they are all close and could likely be one of the 2 you think it is ....... a or c, time is running out and you think a but the buzzer goes and you say a ...sorry time was out ... how do you feel? euphoric you got it right? or totally p****d off you didn't act quicker! Jose had it from both barrels, team failed and the chance of silverware melted away .... and guess what the likely winners could be a ??????? city

Agreed JGF!! It's no different to "we hit the woodwork 1, 2. 3 or a million times" - it might as well be the corner flag or row Z of any stand!!!
