Germany is an economic powerhouse due, in part, to the money poured into West Germany by western powers during the Cold War. We created a monster, a bit like Al Qaeda and ISIS but less explodey and stabby.

Dear old Johnny Redwood should join his fellow Thatcher arse licker Michael Portillo in presenting travel programmes; Great Berkshire Railway Journeys for instance. How could any half decent politician lose Conservative and Unionist Party leadership contests against Jonboy Major and Ooor Wullie Hague!

They also have a tendency to make machines which, while rarely cheap, actually work, and which people want to buy.

They had the best tanks in WWII as well <ok>

Best not talk about the Panther that kept breaking down then <ok>

Or the King tiger that also had issues.

The Tiger was good but was very complex to build so the T34 wins the best tank award

Do we talk about BMWs, Minis and Mercs that are unreliable and rust away?

German cars are not as good as you seem to think they are.

German tanks were a lot stronger than the American ones, but Detroit had a conveyor belt of them so we just had a lot more of them.
