Getting £23 or whatever and reinvesting it was always a better option than losing him for nothing next summer. He may have helped us stay in the CL which would give us £25+mil but so can reinvesting the proceeds of his sale. Nasri is a good player but he hasn't given us an entire season in three years so perhaps he was at the limit of what he could do for us. I was glad he played last weekend and hope any ill feeling between the fans and him may be set aside if we meet in the future. No need for all that stuff. I can understand that £180K a week is hard to turn away even if he may have dressed up leaving as an opportunity to challenge for silverware.
