Cheggers plays cock. “Men have knobs, women have fannies. Pop knob in fanny”. one of my favourite Extra’s episodes.
Can't believe the Chegwin news. Proper celebrity in some iconic programmes when I was a kid. RIP Cheggers
Cheggars is a year older than me. He married Maggie Philbin who I quite fancied back then. He was a good laugh Cheggars. RIP fella
RIP Cheggers. Very much part of my childhood growing up, as many others of a certain age, although some of the younger ones on here probably won't have a clue who we're on about! He was on telly a few weeks ago, I think on Zoe Ball's Strictly Takes Two, and looked well, strange how people seriously ill can appear to have an uplift near their end/parting. Shocked & saddened.
Shelbourne FC We are heartbroken to have to confirm the news that our Academy U16 player, Izzy Dezu, collapsed and died during a match last night. The thoughts of everyone at Shelbourne FC are with his family and friends who have been devastated by his tragic loss. May he rest in peace.
Middlesbrough FC We woke this morning to some tragic news from Brazil where our former goalkeeping coach Leo Percovic has been involved in a car accident which has claimed the life of one of his children. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Leo.
Just had a phone call telling me Ricky has just passed away. I was brought up with Ricky, lived on the same street down hessle road, he went out with my sister. I remember the big fight at city hall, area title I think, he lost but apparently it was a hell of a scrap, I was in the merchant navy at the time and was away at sea. In his later years things were not so great, but I will always remember him from those early years. God rest your soul Ricky, your at peace now mate... RIP Ricky Beaumont, very much a hull lad...
****, I do remember him as Hull's hottest property. I can't recall exactly what era and even what level he reached? How old was he when he died?
He was 2/3 years younger than me - I'm guessing 61/62, I knew him from the Hessle Road pubs and clubs in the mid 70's. A sound lad, taken too young. RIP Ricky.
As an 11/12 yo I avidly read the Sports Mail/ back pages of HDM. Without the extensive sports coverage on tv, our local 'superstars' were legends in my eyes. RIP Ricky
My cousin, Darren Craven, used to box at the same club, I tried it once and it hurt so I ****ed off sharpish. RIP Ricky
