Ned & Hall are fit what's your back 5 plus the midfield 3 plus 2 of the 3 up front before you answer - "that's a bit unfair on Baptiste isn't it?"
---------------------------------Smithies------------------------------ ------------------Ned------------Hall---------Robinson------------ Pawel-----------------------------------------------Bright-Samuel ----------------------------------Scowan------------------------------ -----------------------Luongo-------------Freeman----------------- -------------------------Sylla---------Smith--------------------------- I'm going, so if the rest of this season so far is anything to go by, we'll lose whatever the team.
Hall is too good to leave out if he's fit, and Smith shouldn't be considered as a starter imo, so.... -------------------------------Smithies-------------------------------- --------------Onuoha------------Hall---------Robinson----------- Wszolek------------------------------------------------------Bidwell ----------------------------------Scowen------------------------------ ------------------Luongo--------------------Freeman--------------- -------------------------Sylla---------Washington-------------------
I would change Ned for Baptiste, and Washington for Wheeler. Although, I do like your team, Stroller.
Yeah, I would like to see Wheeler get a proper go in the team, but I think he's more a wide player than an out-and-out striker.
If we were playing Birmingham again then I'd agree. However, I think Bidwell is poor and Washington's confidence looks completely shot. I suppose there's a case to keep Bidwell in as we're likely to be defending a lot against Bristol City. Also, I too think that Hall is too good to be left out.
I agree on the quality of the players, but if he fiddles with the team again we’ll just have a go at him for fiddling with the team. Unless we win, in which case he will be a strategic genius.
Well I hope a Christmas match heralds a change of fortune for you in your Rs viewing experience. I’m still recovering from the home games against West Brom and Liverpool about this time of year a few years back.
I'm heading over to London Friday morning and so it'll be my first game of the year at Loftus Road. Looking forward to it and hoping for a win and to avoid freezing.
Only a matter of time before Hall starts, maybe not this weekend, winning team and all that. Problem is definitely up top, Connor is having a mare and Smith and Sylla both look better coming off the bench.
..or Olly shows faith and gives him a 'proper' run in the team with a steady partner with no threat of dropping him. In our financial position, (and with the choices available to us in the squad) consistency is the most likely route to building a real team understanding. Personally I've had enough of the endless selection changes. Start with Sylla and Washington for 10 games and use Smith as an impact sub (his fitness never looks like lasting 90 mins) - then see where we are.
I'd go with Saturday''s winning team except I'd like to see Conor left out, Sylla start up front with Smith, and use Wheeler when Smith tires. Smithies Ned Baptiste Robinson Pawel Luongo Scowen Freeman Bidwell Smith Sylla Don't think either Ned or Baptiste deserve dropping for Hall, or Bidwell for Samuel after their recent performances.
I believe that Ollie will play 3:5:2 again and will keep the majority of his team unchanged. I would not change the defence or midfield. As regards Hall, I think that players need to earn their place in the team and the defence played well last week, and deserves another chance. But it is very good to have defensive options on the bench. The only issue is the attack. I envisage that he would like to press and in the past played a Mackie/Washington combination in such matches. I hope he choses a target man plus a more pressing player. I would play Sylla from the start and bring on Smith at the end. I would partener them with eirther Wheeler or Washington. Thus my team would be something like: -------------Smithies--------------- ----Ned--- Baptiste--Robinson---- ---Pawel----------------------Bidwell-- ---Luongo- Scowen--Freeman---- ----------Sylla--Wheeler *--------- * means or Washington
Smithies Pav Ned Baptiste Robinson Bidwell Luongo Hall Scowen Freeman Sylla Need to pack midfield.. Team s like Bristol will kil us on the break, otherwise.
With 20 games in 10 days over the festive period there's bound to be changes I'd go with... Smithies Ned, Hall, Robinson Pawel, Freeman, Scowan, Luongo, Bidwell Wheeler Sylla or if he goes 442 Smithies Furlong, Ned, Hall, Robinson Pawel, Scowan, Luongo, Freeman Wheeler, Sylla Tombola time......
