You’re talking to the wrong person if you think using budget travel is some kind of wind up. I pride myself of being able to have seen and experienced some amazing places in the world without breaking the bank. In central and South America you have 1st, 2nd and 3rd class buses. I always chose 3rd class because it’s cheaper and more exciting. They tend to use old school buses from the US and paint them up in psychedelic colours. The local people use them and you get to experience the local culture first hand. I find that people who constantly boast about their money and want to tell everybody about how expensive their holidays, meals, travel etc is are either insecure as **** or are lying.
