https://www.leedsunited.com/news/ticket-news/22732/hull-city-over-32-000-tickets-sold We're still pulling the crowds when we visit success-starved West Yorkshire.
Can't deny they're a big club in the wrong Division. Along with Villa and Wednesday they should defo be Premiership teams.
I'll deny it, they're a big city club in the division their past results befit. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
13 years, and counting, of 'recent' results. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Elland Road is complete ****ing **** hole and they are they are the most arrogant delusional bunch of **** supporters I have ever met. We will struggle to have a full bench come Saturday, two days before Christmas I don't need the humiliation. NA just put 10 behind the ball and take the 1-0 loss. Respect to those who are going but **** that!
Christ, there's enough crowing about how massive Leeds are and how their rightful place is in the Premier League outside of this forum, do we really need to descend into that same nauseating crap? Plenty of teams have had historic success. Leeds are irrelevant now.
There are 750,000 people in Leeds and 250,000 in Hull. If they get 32,000 we should get 11,000 for home games (which we do) I just don't get the love-in for them.
Exactly we have done alright over the last 10 years and it's heartbreaking to know what the **** Ehab (in particular) has done. Such a missed opportunity. We could have so established ourselves as a Prem side but right now we languishing everything about this football club frustrates me right now.
I'm steadily going off football. Most matches are boring to watch. Players hardly ever beat a man and there are more back passes in football than rugby. Whatever happened to the art of dribbling?
That's always the way and I am sure between us we have watched hundreds of games but it's just that moment it may take a last minute goal or the friendship in the stands when you hug a stranger at Wembley with a tear in your eye But I love our club and I pretty sure most who post on here feel the same way.
Yes - they are a poorly supported club in a big wealthy city. Laughable claim they are 'well supported'. The worst supported club in Yorkshire per capita?
This is true, but it's not because the art of dribbling has died out, it's just that defences are so organised now. You watch footage of old football and there's definitely entertainment, but the standard of defending is comical compared to now. Even as recently as '98 when Owen scored that goal against Argentina, it looks ridiculous now when you see how far apart their defence and midfield are. Nowadays even the lesser sides know to have the whole team organised when out of possession, so it's become a game of probing with the ball and searching for that breakthrough. Makes the success of teams like Man City all the more incredible with that in mind.
Massive underachievers, they should have been consistently challenging the Manchester & Liverpool clubs apart from brief periods in the 70's given the size and wealth of their conurbation. We went 52 places above them at the start of 08/09 when we sat proudly 5th and they were 13th in League 1 and have finished above them ever since apart from this year. Keep thinking they'll come back but they keep faltering and are regularly harangued ' Leeds, Leeds are falling apart, again' Timewarped scarf twirlers with delusions of once being champions of Europe.
In my lifetime, I've seen Man U have 1 season in second tier, Man C have 1 season in 3rd tier, Sperz have 1 season in second tier, Chelsea have a couple of spells at this level....but the vermin.....double digit years now as a second level club, like BWFC or Barsley or Birmingham. Shocking underachievers in a decaying stadium.
