Already reduced immigration by over 84,000,which means there must be about 20,000 more houses available than there would have been, will also mean there will be thousands less going hospitals, less unemployed, which will rais wages in time.win win <ok>

“The conclusion that, very roughly, Brexit has already reduced UK growth by 1 per cent or slightly less seems clear.”

Companies are becoming more vocal over the economic hit, blaming the government’s slow handling of the Brexit negotiations for a weaker business climate.

    Iain Duncan Smith today:

British businesses will just have to "learn to get by" with a more difficult trading environment with Europe after Brexit.

    http://uk.businessinsider.com/iain-...iness-eu-trade-learn-to-get-by-brexit-2017-12

    Refusing to guarantee EU rules for limit of 48 hour working week;

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...union-cabinet-tory-party-labour-a8117106.html

18 months after the vote they've just had their first cabinet meeting to try and unify their approach to Brexit

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...ning-battle-divergence-eu-brexit-war-cabinet/

None of this is what they promised and all of this is what they will be judged on by the next election along with everything else they fail to deliver or improve whilst they waste time arguing on Brexit. (and that's just from today).

    Good luck.

Glad to hear they wont limit the working week to 48hrs,would force many low paid into poverty. And didn't the EU refuse to allow any talk until the first part was signed off.<doh>

People are able to voluntarily opt out at present and work more than a 48 hour week. But due to EU law they were not allowed to be forced to work more than 48 hours. So rather than force many low paid people further into poverty it would be able to force more people into working longer hours.

The EU had no control over what our cabinet decided to discuss in regards to Brexit and has indeed been pushing the UK to confirm what its actual position is with regards to Brexit (I'll let you continue to slap your own face as you seem to like it)

Can we treat Chesh with a bit more respect please

Remember he’s one of the 41%, he may be in a minority but we should take seriously the misguided and moronic views of those not wanting a referendum on this dogs turd of a process.

I know if it had been the other way round Chesh would have been equally magnanimous.

There are thousands less going to hospitals but unfortunately they are likely to be the staff.

10,000 EU nationals who work for the NHS have left since Brexit which is an increase of 22% on last year and 42% on the year previously.

And the number of people applying for NHS positions from the EU has reduced by 89%.

And we currently have 40,000 nursing vacancies in the UK.

So the NHS has suffered a great deal more due to staff leaving and not applying than by the reduction of EU immigrants.

Because 85% of EU immigrants were in work (paying taxes here) and the average age of the EU immigrant was 34 (compared to 41 for the native population) they have been big contributors rather than takers when it comes to the NHS.

Meanwhile Non Eu immigration which is and has been consistently higher than EU immigration hasn't changed.

I know what it is but you can opt out now,so it isn't a maximum at all.And that's how it needs to stay.
