It is looking rather bleak for the teams at the bottom for the moment....
the bottom 8 and safety at 50/52 points .......pts
    17 Millwall --------- 22 6 8 8 24 22 2 ..........26 need to win 8 games
    18 QPR -------------- 22 6 7 9 25 33 -8......... 25 need to win 9 games
    19 Hull --------------- 22 5 7 10 37 40 -3 ........22 need to win 10 games
    20 Barnsley -------- 22 5 6 11 24 34 - 10...... 21 need to win 10 games
    21 Sunderland ----- 22 3 9 10 27 38 -11 .......18 need to win 11 games

    22 Burton----------- 22 4 5 13 14 40 -26 .......17 need to win 11 games
    23 Bolton ------------ 22 3 7 12 21 41 -20 ......16 need to win 12 games
    24 Birmingham---- 22 4 4 14 11 32 -21 .......16 need to win 12 games

Sunderland are likely to improve to mid table, Hull now picking up the pace QPR will stagger along at about 1.2 points average to reach 53-55 points, Millwall likely to survive on about the same SO down to the 4 B's and with GD'S in the -20's not looking good!

Cotts did a great job for us in League 1 and I for one, will be eternally grateful, sorry, but in my opinion that's his level.

100% agree, I was going to post pretty much the same sentiment. If Brum do get shot of him and still go down, they may wish they had kept him!!

I also agree 100% to this, but in answer to the question, I really don't care!! More interested in what we're doing!!

Classic case of new overseas owners throwing out the baby with the bath water

The decision to sack Rowlett over a year ago was madness - then giving Redknapp a load of money only to panic and get rid after 3-4 games showed they have learnt nothing.

Cotts has gone into a basket case of a club.

So the answer is not long - because they don't know what they are doing

It is a bit sad for SC, when we went up it part of the foundation idealism that we had had now, but the club as a whole and certainly SC DIDNT adapt to the different environment of the championship, where not only are the players a bit more savvy but the managers certainly are.
there a number of teams "I follow " just the results of course, besides Brum ..FGR whom I knew about back in the 60's Cheltenham ....Aberdeen, not because of DMI, and DUNDEE... Plymouth and of course Man U!
WILL SC be able to pull it around after the January window, excuses are dribbling through of " 3 previous manager syndromes" wrong players etc etc They have a large squad of misfits? was one comment, combined with a few injuries...

If they weren't a basket case before Arry arrived it only took a look at his expensive answers to get the gist, and then poor SC had to try and pick up the few remaining pieces. Given the fact that SC is not really good at the higher level must mean he is doomed from the beginning and considering he gave me my most memorable City moment I wouldn't wish it upon him. I hope he gets a good bung when his departure gate is announced.

A little bit of inside info Rowett was tapping up Derby when he was at Brum, hence Brum got rid.

Personally I think SC was a fool to take the job in the first place.

He must have seen it for what it was under Dodgy 'Arry, and even turned down the Assistant Manager role in the Summer.

But I think people are right that L1 actually might be his best level to manage at.

However in modern football even getting the sack is probably financially very rewarding and the likes of SC will always be employable.

Steve Cottrill - the best league 1 manager EVER.
Thanks for the memories Steve - but stick to what you are good at, or people will only remember your failures - despite being on a hiding to nothing with Brum.
