If your house is on the market, you don't invest in central heating. I don't think they've any intention of selling. The most ridiculous thing in the minutes is that the branding guidelines stem from before they took over. What absolute bollox. However, am I been optimistic in thinking that is preparing for a huge climb down without losing face?
Fair enough It’s not something I’m really up to speed on, hence finding it, and your response above, interesting. If it’s a step towards a smoother administration some point in the future then I agree that makes sense...I notice you’re interested in getting views on it too according to your last paragraph Cheers
My house had already sold and I still invested in a new carpet thanks to the ****ing dog deciding to eat a big hole right in the middle of it! Bastard
Should have had the dog made into a rug and used it to cover the damaged area. Always thinking me...always thinking.
**** Next time I have a minor disaster I’ll message you. That option would have saved me a fortune for lots of reasons!
To be honest I've always thought that is the whole point of this forum, folk give their opinion and others give theirs, anyone with good knowledge declare it. It's how we keep learning. I just don't always add that line for that reason.
Doesn’t matter It was an attempt at humour as you’d said at the start of your post that you didn’t find it interesting Back on topic though. This thing with handing a club over to accountants...has that been done before outside of administration?
Coventry is perhaps an easy example. I know one of the executives of the club and he explained it as being a very complex at the same time as quite an easy business model. Financially very complex, management wise very easy.
Save your typing finger, it's not going to happen. They now know we won't believe them if they claim another buyer is in talks this transfer window, so they've thought of another kick the can further up the road excuse. Oh and in the last Ehab video (months ago) he claimed he was going to appoint a Director of Football to run the club so he could focus on their core business of making genny's.
Really? Not exactly been handed over to a firm has it? The Chief Exec has always been in football Or am i missing something?
The running of Coventry City was actually handed over to a team of arseholes, rather than accountants.
Thinking about who actually runs the day to day business of a football club and there must be loads of them run by shall we say outsiders. I can't imagine the owner of Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea for example ever having to go into an industrial tribunal over the sacking of a relatively low level worker. For the Allams with their hands on approach and the no one tells me how to run a business statement makes me doubt their stated intentions.
I mean I know Sisu is/are a company, but they are the owners aren’t they So have any owners simply handed a club to another firm to manage?
Owners would I imagine often have others employed to manage a club, but that isn’t the same as ‘handing the running over to a firm of accountants’?
Are we sure this "firm of accountants" things isn't simply something that Assem blurted out when struggling to make a cogent point? I wasn't there so couldn't be at all sure - but he does have form in this regard... "no name change before 1-2 years of research". I agree with Dennis, it doesn't make sense - you just employ a Chief Executive to run a club on your behalf, not an accountancy firm. Maybe he's had Deloitte or another big five accountancy firm saying they can run the show for him.
