http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/article/65340/ Shows how much the man in black can impact things. I still believe that had we not had that barmy decision by (Graham Poll?) to award Sylvain Legswinski a free kick - even though he had handballed it and wasn't actually fouled - that led to Fulham's equaliser in Super Pard's first couple of games then we would probably have gained momentum to stay up... And ever since then I genuinley believe we have had ZERO referee luck. Ever. Although Danny Green should have had a straight red last match...
I think most teams can point to some pretty absymal refereeing decisions throughout the course of the season, and that it all balances itself out in the end. I am pragmatic enough to accept human error and that football can swing on a knife-edge. That is why I would not like to see goal-line technology in any form. I don't want to see the beautiful game turn into a robotic sport with no room for error.
Some referee's decisions are not clear cut, but when the ref makes a clearly wrong decision even when he obviously has a good view he should be asked to explain it.
