Depends if we have our shooting boots on and take our chances.

We are also the type of team Bournemouth will like playing. Add to that our ****e midfield and defence they will get chances.

Let's hope they fancy it. We only struggle against teams that think they have no chance and defend for 90 minutes. Our more successful games have been against teams who we have pressed very hard in midfield to gain possession and attack at pace. We hate those teams who let us have the ball in 2/3 of the pitch.

That's one of differences we have with Pep's City. They can vary their game and their attack throughout the match according to the system in front of them. We just seem one dimensional against Everton and WBA.

We'll have no trouble against Bournemouth. That's my gut feeling.

Hope I'm wrong but I can't see us winning tbh. Bournemouth have turned out to be a bogey team and we've gone back to being flaky again. It'll be a draw or we'll bugger it up with a mistake at the back and fire blanks up front

Story of our season: only 3 possibilities

    A) Firing blanks against an obstinate team
    B) Thrashing some unfortunate team by 3 or more goals
    C) Being tanked by a top team.

We've not been able to grind out a 1-0 or a 2-1 win.

United and Chelsea are 7 points ahead of us in 2nd and 3rd. Drop points here and we will have totally lost touch. It's a must win game.

This is what pisses me off. The grind-outs get the points. Do we want to entertain or win something? That's what we need to work out.

    yup.

the.thing is has firmino square the ball to coutinho the last game would open up.

it's those wasteful moments that cost us as much sometimes as the gross incompetance at the back

Jürgen Klopp on Mohamed Salah fitness

Jürgen Klopp has no concerns about Mohamed Salah's condition, crediting the forward's natural fitness for allowing him to top the appearances list so far this season.

The Egyptian has played 25 games for the Reds since signing from AS Roma in the summer – more than any of his teammates in all competitions in 2017-18.

Salah’s goal return during that run is remarkable, with the No.11 boasting a tally of 19, the same number he scored at club level in the entirety of the previous campaign.

Klopp has rung the changes repeatedly as Liverpool contend with a congested fixture schedule but the manager has explained why his most prolific attacker is equipped to cope without a rest.
    http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/284458-jurgen-klopp-on-mohamed-salah-fitness
“He had time out already. In the last international break he did not play for Egypt, he didn’t start at Stoke, we take him off as soon as possible. That’s how it is,” he said.

“I am not sure he played a lot more minutes than other players in our team, but it is true he starts often. It’s because he is in a very, very good moment and it is difficult to think about leaving him out.

“He is always a natural fit player. We talk a lot to the medical department and it is really rare that [there are] any issues with him. You don’t hear that he’s had a problem here or a problem there, that’s a big thing.

“When you hear the name of a player twice from the medical department it is pretty clear he is not in the squad or on the bench. That’s how it works [at] these times. We and he have been lucky so far that there is nothing around him.”

Fancy a bet on it for charity then? I say £20 they won't finish within 10 pts of 4th place. Loser pays to charity of winners choice?

I have not offered my opinion as to where they’ll finish, I merely said it was arrogant to dismiss them out of hand

    Fair enough laa <ok>

Not really, they've scored 16 goals in 18 games. That is simply statistically not good enough to finish in the top 4, or anywhere near the top 4. We see teams all the time starting pretty strongly in the first half of the season but the Christmas period, injuries and loss of form send them down the table.

Few years ago West Ham were 4th after 17 games, they finished 12th. Season after that Palace were level on points with 4th after 17 games, they finished 15th.
