We are now in serious relegation danger in my humble opinion. I guess it could be rectified in Jan but it hasn't been sorted for the last 2 windows so no reason to think it will this time.

    I blame:

    The board
    The manager
    The players

    In that order.

And any manager worth the name can find a way of working with what they have. “I like players that can cut in from wide and shoot, but we don’t have them, so we’re ****” just doesn’t cut it for me.

Pellegrino has no plan B! We are down a goal, and he takes off a striker, for another! I remember, when a team was losing, the manager would play, 2 out and out strikers together! Not this guy though!!!

    I don’t know, man.

I can’t be too mad at Pellegrino. We are simply not good enough to beat Chelsea away.

I would have done the same thing. Park the bus and play the fast guys up top, hope to get lucky. Would I have done it exactly withe the same lineup and tactics? Maybe not, but I am not a pro manager. It almost worked, we just weren’t quite lucky or good enough. Basically we got the expected result, so if Pellegrino wasn’t awesome, he dudn’t Suck either.

The board has not brought in the attacking players we need. Then again, finishing a bargain bin 15 goal striker or amazing AM is not the easiest task. We gambled on Boufal and Redmond. It wasn’t a terrible move. But also not shocking they didn’t turn into superstars either. It’s not like they are total busts.

The way we are spending, we have no margin for error. If we want to improve, the bean counters need to free up some cash. IMO, we have not been busy enough at the youth level, either.

Anyway, I feel like supporters are just being supporters. A few years ago, everyone was in love with Davis, Long, Tadic, Forster and applauded signing them to extensions. Now when the team struggles a bit it becomes Puel’s fault, then Pellegrino’s.

I think sometimes we need to be realistic that most PL teams have no chance. There was a window there when the big teams slipped, but they have figured it out again. That’s how it is. The big teams can mess up and easily turn it around but we cannot.

We would be doing better with Big Sam or Pardew, and I can’t stand either of them.

Depends on the attitude of the players tbf. At the start of the season we had Van Dijk causing **** and Bertrand wanting to go. Pellegrino took over a mess of a dressing room.

lol on Tadic and Redmond. They're both traditional wingers, although Tadic can also play centrally well, but he's not a goal scorer. Redmond has been playing that position all season and has not produced results. Can't comment on Gabbi as not seem him play wide.

So are Burnley so high up in the table because of their top quality players across the starting 11, or good management?

Problem is, that there is always a team that slides down the league, and ends up going down. Who's to say, it won't be us!

Redmond should be playing on the right as he’s a right winger.

This is about psychology as much as tactics though.

Which is where strong management comes in.

I suspect that Mark Hughes will very shortly be available.

(Two Welshmen on the market, with Pulis too. Suspect that neither Wales nor Swansea will not notice that)

Come on Laces, we already know players have too much power. If a player wants to cause **** they will and a manager can do **** all about it. He just has to hope the player backs down or leaves

exactly. but he doesnt want a traditional right winger, he wants and inverted one, we don't have any. we just have boufal on the left. Shouldn't we give him a chance rather than the same thing we've done 2 summers in a row and bring a manager in during a window which has failed?

You can be certain that at least one Watford fan is already saying that! (For no rational reason)

If he doesn't have a Plan A, then looking for Plan B is ridiculous!!

Has he said that? And even so, he should be able to work with what he has, even if not his preference. We have good players.
