Why do players and manager suddenly underperform when they get this award?something to do with increased ego and expectations?

Under-perform relative to their general ability, or just compared to their recent award-winning levels?

I have never analysed this in great detail but subjectively it seems that they swing lower than their mean. Below their average performance. I suppose if you believe in the law of averages then an over performance to win an award like that (monthly) is bound to lead to lower performances in subsequent weeks. Is this what's happening to Marco silva and Watford?

The inconsistency of refereeing is ridiculous and even from the same referee. Danny Rose just pushed Mangala in the back with both hands, as clear as you like and no penalty given, the referee? Same as the Liverpool Everton game last week.

Ridiculous decision by Rose. Penalty. But I think he was saved by the player heading the ball rather than missing it and not going down like Lewin The ref must have thought that the push was not very strong and not effective.

That bugs me way more than the decisions themselves. If the refs kept to some semblance of consistancy particularly in their own decisions i really wouldn’t have a problem.
Seeing that challenge you have to assume that the ref has either been told he was wrong last week despite most claiming the decision was right. Meaning he is wrong this week, totally does my nut in :)

Soooooo not getting back on the Mane one, as i said at the time there would be way more similar to the mane one that would go unpunished or, what i believed to be the correct decision which was/is a yellow. Will just stick too consistency issues. We have been both fortunate and unfortunate this season with decisions, i would say that more have gone against us than for, but I have witnessed other teams seemingly get nothing (City is not one of them)

To be fair to Man City, they could have had 5/6 goals today. Completely dominated

De Bruyne has to be one of if not the best midfielder in the world right now

Sterling has missed two open goals from the 6 yard box today, both ballooned over.

City are unstoppable. Nobody has got near them. I think that they'll have it in the bag by end of Jan, at which time they can focus on CL. Much the same as Bayern used to under him.

Well it took Chelsea what a billion pounds before they brought the CL. City can't be far off :bandit:

I appreciate what they both have achieved to a degree, but unlimited funds, you should eventually get it right ffs!

No arguments from me. They get who they want generally but Pep has made City a very very good team now too. Better than Chelsea ever were. I think that they'll dominate for a few years now if he stays, they're a young team and will only improve.
