Plus if we get a new manager, we need to back him. We haven't done that for 2 seasons at least.

 

We need someone that instills belief into our (actually quite) talented players. Who has some pizazz and identity about them and who has a bit of attacking flair. We have done since the beginning of last season (I don’t think Claude was the right man either, despite recent revisionism).

And then what ? Who would want to come here after sacking 2 managers so quickly ?

Unless the new owner is prepared to spend stupid money in the transfer window.

2. Start Austin and Boufal.
3. Drop Redmond altogether.

 

I'm going to get in before all the negativity to say we were better before we lost Cedric which made us both lose Cedric's pace on the counter and Prowse's attacking ability -he doesn't have the pace to get back into position if he goes forward so was forced to stay back most of the time, leaving Bertrand and Redmond as our only outlets and we had no ability to switch the play. That really hurt us both in defence and in attack. I do feel for Pellegrino a bit for that one.

Once we got Boufal on , Redmond went to the middle and Prowse went right, we were much more balanced again.

 

I was about to make a comment about it going wider than that (eg not trusting them on recruitment either), but you've done it more succinctly.

But hey, I do feel like I'm still in the minority at wanting changes at board level, in addition to manager level.

 

Nice confidence boosting victory for Huddersfield today too. Crystal Palace and West Ham have found form. Everythings going so well.

 

We seemed to get so much right with appointments for a a fair amount of time. And we're still signing decent players. Now seems the opposite with managers at least. Not sure there is anything deeper behind that. I've got confidence in the squad with the right guidance.

Anyone expect a win against City or Chelsea? Me neither really. I expected something against Leicester and thought a draw at Bompey.

We are just behind where I expected us to be and as TLL said weeks ago, we could be in bottom three by January. No need to panic yet.
