We need a goal. We've got three CBs on the pitch. We only have one sub left. So we use it to take off our best CM, who was kept fresh during the week.

 

If we don't get a point here we are in the perm any three from nine to be relegated. Don't say there are others worse, look at Palace they looked dead and buried.

Heard that MLT was pretty scathing about the team line up/dropping 5 players? Anyone else notice that? Said he understood VVD/Boufal being dropped as MP said that he wanted people trying and they don’t, but didn’t understand the others.

When Zaha and Benteke were injured. And Sakho, I recall. Palace were never dead and buried, they just had key players injured.

At the moment Saints remind me slightly of other clubs in past seasons (Newcastle are the one that first springs to mind) where there’s been something very wrong and nothing is done about it until after relegation.

Which isn’t to say I have any answers, just that it’s obvious something is not right at the club. Perhaps the time spent selling the club as a shop window is coming back to bite us, I don’t know.
