We where doing ok, then FF has a brain fart!!!!

 

A shame to concede on the brink of half time and a soft goal really.

Disappointing that when we come forward we lack ideas and just play the long ball.

 

Sounds like it wasn't the best defending in the world by Maya (again) in giving the FK away.

 

we have no threat on the counter so they can just keep pushing players forward knowing we can't get out.

On the other hand, he has made at least 3 saves this half. The problem was Yoshida giving away a free kick when he didn’t need to.

 

Not really surprising though when we've only got two offensive players on the pitch. Half of which is represented by Redmond.

 

It's getting boring waiting to concede the first goal tbh. Would rather we set up to create more chances instead of playing for a point from the get go.

 

People need someone to critisise straite away. But annoyed we gave away a soft goal.

 

We parked the bus very well, it was a textbook example. But then denied by a set piece goal. We came here with the sole aim not to concede a goal, but now we'll have to change our approach.

 

So frustrating. We've gone back to long, high balls now Gabbi is on the pitch...ARGH.

Boufal on for Redmond please (about 45 minutes ago, but now will do).

 

Why do we have such a habit of conceding a goal so close to half or full time? Total lack of concentration or giving unnecessary fouls away - not clever.

 

Indeed. My comment earlier about it basically being a myth that Redmond is an option on the counter. So what that he's pacey, if he never actually uses it.

Antonio gave Chelsea an almighty headache on the break the other day. Of course that it helps that he has strength, in addition to pace.

 

This is my thought too, concentration goes completely out the window.

 

Our concentration has been poor for a lot of this season. That's purely down to coaching.

 

When playing like this, I don't know why we have Redmond and Gabbiadini on the pitch when we can trade them for two more defenders.

I think FF, like me, was waiting for Willian to take the kick.

Also for all our defensive endeavour Chelsea have missed three very good opportunities to go ahead, prior to the free kick, so although the bus was parked, it hasn’t provided perfect cover.

 

Poor foul, poor wall, poor save.

 

In Croatia for the expression parking the bus we say bunker. As in fortification. They played bunker.
