David Burns @bbcburnsy Breaking...I understand @groundsmenhull have lost their case re sackings from KCOM stadium. No more details. #HCAFC
David Burns @bbcburnsy It's confusing, technically they won the the original judgement, but there will be no compensation. I'm expecting clarifying statements.
Could mean that what they had done was grounds to be sacked, but they way they where sacked was wrong?
Why do I always have to work out what you're saying? Then again, you might be foreign and still learning the English language. If that's the case, I apologise unreservedly.
Not a huge surprise. I guess that they way they were sacked was wrong (hence the club conceding that) but that the reason they were sacked was valid so if the procedure had been followed they’d have been sacked anyway.
Im guessing that what is meant is, there were grounds for their dismissal, but, the correct procedures weren't followed in dismissing them.
Not entitled to compo, as the court accepted the SMC's assertion that Cook was working for FC during SMC time and Harrison allowed it... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news...s/sacked-kcom-groundsmen-shell-shocked-934799
It’s blatantly clear they deserved it. The social media hysteria is typically ill informed. Courts rarely arse these sort of things up. Deal with it and move on!
It wasn't blatantly clear and it still isn't blatantly clear. Ehab had given the day to day management to a chief executive. We don't know whether he verbally agreed Cook could continue working for Hull FC. Also Cook would have had to be aware Harrison didn't have the power to sanction time off to work for Hull FC.
The silly ****s lied and continued to lie. Instead of holding their hands up, having a union negotiate for them and they may have got off with a written warning. I find the grounsdmens arrogance at the time unbelievable really.
