Young Ferguson has shown he can do a job for us there, but I'd rather he was used in midfield.

Im nearly always unhealthely (is that a word?) optimistic about our club but quotes like this are getting on my tits. I realise this is paper talk but it's obviously been going on with every one of our targets. There's clearly more than enough money left to sign pretty much every player we've been strongly linked to. Fair enough if the other club is over pricing tell them to do one but when we clearly need a LB and it's going to take £500,000 more than what we got for our previous one it shouldn't take any convincing if the manager and scouting team consider him good enough.

Alan PR-Dew got a grin out of me and also I agree with Pardew's reputation improving. For me it's since the Arsenal match interview, he instantly shook off any negative spin by calling the interviewer on it and then stuck up for his players - most notably the player everybody has their eyes on at the minute. His subs in the Sunderland match were smart too, hoping he keeps this up.
