The only things I know with any certainty are a) some bookies have already paid out on City, and b) as a Saints fan I will mostly be looking down not up this season.

But for the hell of it

    2. Chelsea
    3. Utd
    4. Arsenal
    5. Spurs
    6. Leicester

I haven't quite worked Leicester out tbh. If you'd played the whole of last season the way you finished it, you'd have been top 6. Then you started this season like the whole squad had been on the piss all summer. Not sure if it's Puel who's got you going again, but if you keep playing like you did against us on Wednesday very few sides will cope with your pace, power and movement up top.

Liverpool are even more Liverpool this season than they have been for the last two imo - brilliant when they have the ball and are running at you, bang average to downright poor without it. Salah has added something, but if Mane gets injured again and the two -inhos form drops off, they'll be quite ordinary. Klopp's getting away with murder because he's charismatic imo.

    1 City

    2 United

    3 Chelsea
    4 Liverpool
    5 Arsenal
    6 Spurs

    7 Everton

Though I think 3-6 could come in any order,

Couple of people tipping Everton to finish 7th .... just out of interest - how many of the current Everton squad do people think would get into our first team ... coz frankly, I'd be struggling to pick any of them <whistle>

Leighton Baines maybe. And Morgan Schneiderlin if he gets back to the form he had at Saints.

Wouldn’t have Baines as a starter, rather have Chilwell and think Baines is on a par with Fuchs. Schneiderlin, Id not swap out Ndidi or Iborra. Might have Sigurdsson as an option. Maybe Holgate but doubt he’d be a starter. I thought Fosse was on the wind up but now I’m thinking about it I’m struggling to pick any. I’d pick more from your team

Forgot about Sigurdson, I'd love to see him at Saints. And I'd have Schneiderlin back in a heartbeat. But just because they'd improve our midfield doesn't mean they'd necessarily start in yours.

That’s the thing, I’d have more from your team as Van Diik would improve us and possibly Cedric as it’s our defence that needs work. Everton don’t have anyone I’d see as improving us. Tbf I like the look of Lemina more than Schneiderlin

...wouldn't have either tbh .... Ben Chilwell is a fast emerging talent and Christian Fuchs would also be as good ... Iborra and N'didi are looking very good in midfield and we have Adrien Silva to come in 14 seconds into January 1st <whistle>

I think at this stage of games played between the two managers whilst at Liverpool, Klopp only has something like 2 more wins ?

...just lost the one in 12 now ... to Man City ... actually think we will get tested by Palace tomorrow but we are playing some lovely stuff right now ... 7 goals in last 2 away games ... and have beaten both Burnley and the Spuds at home...

We should finish in the top 10 and I'd love to break into the top 6 and upset one of the precious set again ... logic says 7th <cheers>

7th would be great, reel in Burnley and hold off other challengers such as Everton. If any of the top 6 (likely Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool not the other 3) stumble and we could capitalise that’d be amazing but I have no expectations of that

Can Leicester sustain their good form ? I hope so. And with Mahrez and Vardy firing then you always have a chance in any game. Personally I think Burley will fall away if they get a couple of injuries, but Everton finally look like they might be starting to get it together

I think we can, we have a good player to come in in Silva and apparently Ben Arfa is coming. A new right back and we’ll be looking good. I expect Burnley to fall away but hey, everyone said that about us 2 years ago! I just don’t think they have stand out individuals within the team like Kante, Mahrez and Vardy.
Everton are looking good and the other main threat. But like fosse pointed out yesterday and I had to agree, I really wouldn’t replace any of our starting 11 with theirs. Maybe some would strengthen the bench
