Never thought I'd say it Roy but yes but only if the price is right and only if we can get a better quality CB as I don't want us to take the money only to replace him with an inferior player - I just can't see him wanting to leave though.
No, you're thinking of Sister Sledge
Would love him to stay BUT if its for the greater good, and the price is right KJ will let him go, KJ will want what 3.5 -4M? Drop Tam back in the back four (Keeps Tam happy) & Jimmy back in midfield? Few extra bob in the slush fund
We've looked more energized recently when Jimmy came on as a second half sub against Forest and Peterborough.
I make you right. Just hope we don't carry on selling and not replacing we earnt a few quid like to see a little bit spent to strengthen I feel a few injuries and we are well short we have a small squad as it is like I said though a few quid spent on some quality coming in and we will be in the top 6
3.5 to 4 million you sure I bet reading offered 850 000 I personally wouldnt let him go for less than 1.5
I'm happy to strengthen the first team with more quality as were more than a match for anyone on our day but with the bench not being as strong as others I wouldn't be so bothered with that because anyone coming in to replace first teamers injured or suspended will give their all as they will be comping at the bit to get a chance like the M&M's last season against Preston and till the end of the season. We wouldn't anyway as we couldn't afford it but there's no point having a massive quality squad like Leicester if they can't get a game and wont even make the reduced subs bench. Don't get me wrong at the same time there's no point in having complete **** waiting in the wings in the reserves as there's no point having rubbish covering for quality.
We went through this situation with the speculation about Morison before he was sold. Many fans said then that money received for Morison could be used to bring in 2 or 3 quality players to improve the squad. This has never happened! If Robinson or Trotter are sold before the end of the transfer window and the money received isn't used to sign a few quality players then it's a long wait until January before the transfer window reopens! Call me a cynic or a pessimist but I think this is going to be a long hard season unless we strengthen our existing small squad let alone thinking about selling key players!
If Matt Mills was worth 4m then you would have to spend that and more to get Robbo but we all know how tight Madjeski is so think you need to start dredging the lower leagues for some cheaper options
Think we need to keep things in perspective as Matt Mills is 4 years younger and the price would have been inflated because of the crips boys being involved - sure it would have been much less if any other club was involved! Notice he's Leicester born as well so perhaps he justifies it partly on that for going? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Mills I honestly can't see us getting £3.5m/£4m for Robbo.
Probably not far from what we'd accept although we'd probably hold out for 1.5m-2m Lets see how determined you are to get him as we finally accepted Norwich's 4th offer for Moro. Can't see him wanting to go and he'd have to officially put in a transfer request wouldn't he so lets see how it pans out.
A very very reliable readingfc source has said Readingfc have had a £700,000 bid rejected and are know contemplating another bid
Just saying that Robbo is worth £4m plus to us, if we sold him who would replace him not just as our centre back but as a leader? Robbo is of a different mould to rest of squad and would be impossible to replace.
Ok one last thing he added If a second bid were to be made it would be just under the £1million mark
