Perfect timing I guess. Mid Dec for contracts is still looking good. Jak - suck my balls you filthy animal.
Before I **** myself into a frenzy, I shall wait for confirmation of the fat one leaving. Let’s just hope this isn’t more of the same (or indeed worse) from the new lot.
So don't get more pumped up, but there's been a claim that the number 500m (remember that was mentioned a few times, with no concrete backing, and pegged as the total transfer warchest budget!!) was a real number, but is/was actually the capital PCP had raised to support and invest up front in NUFC. The money has always been there, the haggling by Amanda was about final price and whatever is left will be reinvested. Should mean a transfer budget of around £75m in total for Jan plus the bits still in the account and forthcoming from Sky. Over £100m is actually realistic.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football...e-42270655&link_location=live-reporting-story Newcastle's owner Mike Ashley is close to reaching an agreement with British businesswoman Amanda Staveley over the sale of the Premier League club. The investment firm run by Staveley- PCP Capital Partners - has put forward an offer of £300m, BBC Newcastle understands. Ashley said on 16 October he wanted to sell after 10 years in charge. Any takeover deal would not be completed immediately as Premier League approval takes 30 days. Staveley helped broker the purchase of Manchester City by Sheikh Mansour in 2009 and it was reported she led Dubai International Capital's £400m bid for Liverpool in 2008. The Magpies have been relegated twice from the Premier League during Ashley's 10-year reign and are currently 16th in the top flight after 16 matches, having won promotion last season under manager Rafael Benitez. Ashley, 53, has been a divisive figure at St James' Park, with some supporters regularly protesting about the way the businessman has run the club. He bought Newcastle for £134.4m in 2007. Their latest accounts - up to 30 June 2016 and before the club's relegation to the Championship - showed a profit of £900,000 and turnover of £126m in 2015-16.
yeah but the way I look at it, without signing anyone were in for relegation battle which means his £300m valuation goes down the pan - and knowing how much a greedy twat he is I'm sure he will be working hard to get this done asap. Lets hope he starts singing and clapping or if all else fails I can burst into as tune, see if that helps/
fingers crossed .. get this big dark cloud away from this area , which has been here for years ..and hopefully a bright clear exciting future ...please
The Telegraph ran a piece about this earlier today, what they add though is that in the interests of the club Ashley will provide increased transfer funds for January and be given this money back after the takeover is complete.
I can just see the takeover going through with us sitting bottom of the league and staring down the barrel of relegation. What a fitting legacy for Ashley to leave behind.
This. Ashley literally pissing himself laughing all the way to the bank. What an unmitigated disaster his tenure has been. Please just **** off Ashley, please just **** right off.
Yep Ashley really makes a mockery of the "better the devil you know" claim. Without a takeover we would be going down and Rafa would already have left.
damm unlucky lad ..thats all ..it has to change .. bent ref, and a keeper that will never wear the shirt again ..
