And a board who capitalised on a bit of success by buying to improve the squad and buying well. Well done to them.
If we learn from tonight that we need to move the ball more quickly, play two upfront and ditch the 4-2-3-1, which looks appealing on paper but doesn't seem to be working, then I can take this result and move on. 5-3-2 please. Forster was an unfortunate scapegoat tonight and Bertrand our best player. I am concerned about the varying attitude of some of our players and the amount of time van Dijk seems to spend lambasting others on the pitch.
Just seen the goals again. There are under-8 teams that defend better than that. Unforgivable defending.
Our team were utterly pathetic though in fairness. The atmosphere is very flat these days, but players need to offer something.
Thing is, Vin’s post about that meeting actually worried me massively because it came from Les and included management/wasn’t from management. Hence I haven’t changed my vote on TLL thread. Hmm. We need squad changes for sure, but we still need a manager that can bring the best out of our current crop. I will wait and see.
Ground nearly empty, and half the fans who did stick it out to the end in the bitter, cold were just waiting to boo the team off. That's really going the extra mile.
The board took all the plaudits for guiding us from league one to Europa league in 6 years. They now have to answer to why they've managed to take us from a team that finished in the top 6 to relegation candidates in just one and a half years.
It does make me laugh when people are accused of knee jerk for an opinion after 12 games then use a 4-1 win against the worst side in the league to form an opinion of the opposite! A tad hypocritical imo. Don't get me wrong, I think we've shown enough in those few games that I want to give him a bit more time and feel he's earned that but the jury is still out. Hudders is becoming make or break it seems.
Yeah that was a bit odd... Even before it got bad though the support was shocking. A few of us were still singing owts at the end but doubt it was heard down your end as was probably only around 50 lol.
Were you in the Northam? They made a bit of noise tbf. Best chant of the night came from Leicester though - "aren't you glad you sacked Puel?" And fair play to the guy for having too much class to stand up and go to the touchline when he eventually gave them a wave.
Yeah right next to the block of empties, you know it's a bad one when you regret going on a freebie Agreed on the other two points too, I said to my mate a full time I hope he walks over to the away end up but sadly he didn't. Sort of bloke he is though.
