    sounds about right - but an improved defence would still be though giving them some protection would help no end.

    irrespective of sundays pen decision the standard of reffing across the PL has been atrocious this season.

    I suspect that referee is Everton supporter, first time he was in charge of the Merseyside derby. He messed up.

    whilst i didn't think it should have been given i perfectly understand why it was awarded unlike any number of decisions i've seen this year when i struggled to understand what the ref was seeing .

    Most former players say that it should be a penalty because they all follow the whole 'contact means entitled to go down' bollocks they tried in their careers.

    I go by the 'contact wasn't anywhere near enough to knock a fully grown man over' so therefore a dive.
