Yeah can see that rat faced ****er celebrating now. The VVD thing is just an excuse though, I couldn't care less about that really and don't think it was any more intentional than what every player does, I just hate Vardy and glad we are all on the same page.
Yeah but he's our dirty little sod Type of player that nobody likes to play against but everyone wants in their team.
Reckon we will win 2-1 tonight, Austin (obviously) to score both. Vardy to hopefully get sent off / a little foot problem.
As a player, I think Vardy is excellent. He's similar to Long apart from the fact he scores goals. If I was a defender I'd hate to play against him. I don't think he's anymore 'dirty' than a number of players. Aggressive, true but I doubt he goes out to deliberately put someone out of football for half a season. Having said that I somehow missed THAT challenge on the day and I haven't seen it since. As a person.......jury's out!
I can’t see that any player would deliberately want to injury a fellow professional. I’ve seen some awful ones but never thought it was deliberate (Sordell of Burton on Coutts of Sheffield United recently). I just hope none of your lot set out to crock him tonight. It might not have been a good challenge but doing it back deliberately doesn’t make it right
Vinnie Jones tried to hurt people, or it certainly looked like he did. But generally I agree - very few players would set out to deliberately hurt a fellow professional.
Agreed, maybe there was one or two back in the day. You may get a player who wants to put one on the opposition to make his game easier but to put a fellow professional out for months and miss a cup final? Na. They’d all know how much that’d hurt them if it was the other way round. Vardy saw his mate Matty James miss our title season. I do feel for VVD though
This is an important game to win, especially given the other fixtures tonight. Bournemouth, Brighton, Swansea and WBA are all against top opposition, with WHU home to Arsenal. If Newcastle and Everton could share the points, and us win, we would give ourselves a bit of breathing space ahead of the Chelsea game.
