Djalo/van Wolfswinkel/Erdinc all linked pre season, looked very good on paper?

Although if we want a player from the Prem, I'd be happy with Bendtner.

And if we still have the pulling power, bid 25M for Benzema ;) (stranger things have happened - Liverpool just broke the English transfer record for Carroll!)
 
Benzema would be a waste of £25m. I wouldn't want us to gamble more than £15m on him.
 
For me it's got to be Ola Toivonen. He is quite simply superb and I think he's said he'd like to play for Newcastle before.

- podolski.. Maybe, wouldn't mind although wouldn't be anything I'll be screaming about, I rate him though, but I'm not overally convinced he'll be a good signing for us.
- lukaku.. I'll like but don't see us getting him & I doubt he'll come.
- connor wickham.. YES PLEASE!
- pav.. Yes, excellent striker on his DAY, great technique, very good finisher and good mobility, although his age & wages would be a issue, his inconsistency is also a worry & can't really hold the ball up well, looks wonderful playing with a partner(someone like Defoe for example) & can't really lead the line, not convinced but I'll take him, has good experience & is a proven EPL class striker.

- defoe.. Won't get, simply as that.
 
^ IMO we should've tryed & offered 20m in a sensational double swoop for Insomina & Rodallega!
 
I'm not sure about a proper replacement for carroll but I would like to see us try and prise max gradel away from Leeds as hes a nippy little player who I rate and also maybe danny sturridge - depending on how he performs at bolton
 
I tell you who would be awesome - Emmanuel Emenike of Karabukspor. Top scorer in Turkey in a small team and would cost about 8-10 million.
Also Seydou Doumbia of CSKA Moscow is awesome, Ivory Coast international so will know Tiote. He's a bit like Grafite of Wolfsburg.

Both are 23.
